I don't think they're just being redone, they may be pushed back a bit. There may be a plan for riptide bay slides that are coming down and STT. Depending on how far they take it, Guest Relations may be moved to a new building.
I don't want to see STT leave, but it barely runs as is.

STT isn’t going anywhere.
It was struck by lighting mid year and they were waiting on a part.
I agree with everything else. Given there’s more space between security and the front entrance, it could be moved.
I doubt much is being done with the drop slides right now given that we know 2025 and 2026 plans. Maybe they are removed at some point. But any water park investments are likely for 2027 and beyond.
The 6.4 megawatt solar project will cover the 15 acres of the parking lot outlined in blue. This was approved by the Planning & Zoning Board and will now goto the Village Board for final approval.

Good move by the park, our cars will finally not get heated up so much by the sun
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back
Someone on Reddit suggested they saw a “This is a mysterious sign” with a winking emoji below it on the Rapids site. They said it was visible from the train. Anyone else see this? I feel like more people would have noticed.

Yes. It also says “See You Next Year”. It will be back in 2025 (assume they get the part they need). The mysterious sign was the same one in Demons queue during wrath teasers. It’s just meant to throw you off.

Ah ok cool, thanks!
As a side note, from what I’ve heard around the industry, since Covid, ride parts are harder to find and aren’t as readily available as they use to be. This is what’s causing longer delays and rides to be closed for extended periods of time (like Condor, STT and Rapids)

I haven't ridden the train since Fall 2023, so I would have no clue. Either way, this can mean one of two things. 1. Rapids is reopening in 2025, finally. 2. The new kids' area is being placed in Rapids' spot. 3. The guy who originally posted this posted this after the park closed so that nobody could verify his info, thus this could be completely false.
I hope it's the first one, as the other kids' areas should be improved before a new other is introduced.
I hate the second option, since the other kids' areas should be the top priority when it comes to kids areas.

First option hopefully, it doesn't make sense for the other 2 in my opinion

Sorry was inactive for a little bit. Someone directed this to me a couple weeks ago, some good information on the work that went into Batman this season. Interestingly, it is not done and there is more coming!

That’s awesome!!
Just wondering who directed all these upgrades? Is it a chain thing? I ask because I noticed Over Georgia’s Batman received some of the same updates, including the fog:

And speaking of effects, anyone have any insight how we downgraded the effects on Demon and Maxx Force this year? Maxx Force had that light show and music blasting when the train left the station and was in prelaunch. Did those only last 1 single season?

Can't speak for Demon. As for Maxx, I've heard two things. 1. Lightning fried all the effects and/or 2. the effects were only programmed for one train, so we lost them all when we brought on the second train this season. When talking with John this season, he was upset we "lost" the effects. He mentioned he has an audio guy who's been doing good things (X-Flight, Batman, wants to give him a budget for Wrath) so hopefully they can circle back to Maxx.
Related/unrelated, seems like Sky Trek Tower was struck by lightning (multiple times?) so that's why it's availability was shaky this season.

Ok wow, interesting for sure. Appreciate the info!!
Loved the stuff they had going for Maxx Force so hopefully they get it working again.

Agreed. John had also mentioned to me that the 50th seemed like a good excuse to do a lot of housekeeping type projects (this was before 2026 was announced)

I'd like to see John also do something with the old HH Entrance.
It's starting to decay and look horrible. Other Parks like Kings Island do still have a in-park entrance and I'd personally like to see it reopen for Season Pass holders only. I haven't really gone to Hurricane Harbor since the switch to a separate gate because it's not large enough for me to dedicate an entire day there and it's kind of a royal pain in the ass to change, drop everything off at the car, then return to the gate to go to the dry park.
I'd be willing to throw them money for a locker for the sheer convenience.
Even funnier I wouldn't mind Hurricane Harbor kicking the bucket entirely. Which will never happen.
