Yeah I have no idea what he's talking about. Sky Trek Tower does not come down when it's worked on. Besides the motor house on top, those towers have almost nothing of note inside.
I can only guess he's referring to the Tower Cabin moving down from the top?
I could have swore it wasn't parked up top a few days ago.

He said Tower so i assumed the Sky Trek : P

Yes the tower cabin was lowered and being worked on.
I have pictures from someone who lives in the area. This isn’t that hard to understand. It’s the only thing in the park with the word “tower” in its name.

I assumed you were talking about the vehicle, but wasn’t entirely sure. Thanks for clarifying dude.
John made no mention of the hideous solar panels. I have no issues with them installing them. Just put them in the back lot so it does make the front of the park look ugly.

No need to get smart.
Maybe a clearer choice of words like mentioning the cabin coming down from the top of the Tower would've caused less confusion.

They're in the parking lot, which is filled with cars. Who cares? It also double functions as shade for the cars parked under them so I have little to complain about.

I personally love seeing the skyline of the entire park when i come into the parking lot and taking photos/videos of it so i'm gonna miss that

There should be a gap I’m guessing on the walkway/road next to the security tower where the painted walking lines are.
I’m sure you’ll still be able to see skyline. Hopefully I’m not wrong on this.

I agree with this, but I don't think they were planning on putting solar panels where I normally park, so either I'm out of luck or I'm gonna have to find a new area

GreatAmericanFox - I actually agree with you on this one! I love seeing the Skyline as I'm walking in as well. Putting the panels in the rear/outer lot would be better . I also go and eat at the car often. Will it be safe to be around these things for 30-60 minutes at a time?

I’ve been a ton of events in Philly, and people tailgate under theirs all day. You’re probably as likely to get cancer from your cell phone. Remember all that lol?
I mean what the park president says is no surprise. The park was an absolute ghost town the day I went the last year they had it. There was no way it made any money and probably lost money just being open.
I considered visiting HITP last year, but when I saw they didn't accept Season Passes, I didn't visit. I might've visited if something besides the Carousel was open, like Dark Knight at least, but no such luck. I'd rather have STT open, but with that ride having so many problems, I think it'd be best to leave it over the winter months.
I hope they being back the themed music this year or next year (all lands not just Carousel Plaza), i can't go another yea with that annoying spongebob song

GreatAmericanFox - I actually agree with you on this point! The music needs an overhaul. Also, I've been saying for years, they should be playing "Saturday In The Park" by Chicago! A quite appropriate song by a legendary local band!

If they want to play licenced music like that, it should stay at the front entrance I.e where you get scanned by security and get tickets (it was like that during the Marriott era too), otherwise the rest of the park should return to atmospheric/Marriott era music that fits the lands

Dan The Coaster Man wrote:Event schedule is on the website
So from the website i noticed a few things:
1. The 4th of July event has been renamed and is no longer sponsored by Coca-Cola 2. With the Exception of Grad Night, Boo Fest, and Fright Fest, all other events have removed the Six Flags Branding. 3. The Park's last day of operation this year is most likely November 2nd
Hopefully that Great American Nights event keeps the Classic "Great" text from the original Great America logo like the previous Great Summer Nights Logo
