JackGlass - what coasters and thrilling flats will fit in its footprint?
I'd use it for a Road Runner/Wile E Coyote dulling family launch coaster, ambitious but it would be cool, and it could be it's tied with a cartoony desert area to contrast Southwest Territory
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

I'm also in that small group that wouldn't mind it being bulldozed either
That small group is growing. I’m joining it!
Happy 4k!
With the surge in repaints happening across the chain, do you all think that more repaints are to come to Great America? The only coasters that actually need it are X-Flight and Raging Bull, but honestly I am not a fan of many of the new paint schemes many coasters are getting, something like Medusa at SFDK and Batman at our own park I think were done well, as they just got a new fresh coat while SFOGoliath got brand new colors and in my personal opinion, looks super boring, there is a growing trend in the company that seems to prefer modern boring monotone colors over the vapid and vibrant color schemes of the 2000s, hope X-Flight can keep its colors and if raging bull changes, keep the orange track and maybe change the supports to an almost maroon like color it had when it opened?
Some time, on way to successful, first of steps of all of the steps to being successful steps are hardest of all of the steps to successing.

Could care less about X-Flight, but Raging Bull i hope keeps its Southwest/Desert like colors

I agree that (generally speaking) I am not a huge fan of all the recent repaints that have significant color changes. Maybe this is because I don't really like change overall - I still can't get over Phantom's Revenge repaint for example. Much more a fan of repaints with the same colors like Batman, or repaints where the colors are not drastically different like Diamondback at KI or Montu at BGT. Something not nearly as egregious as Goliath at SFOG or Titan at SFOT.
I'd say Raging Bull could use it the most. X-Flight looks okay in my opinion, but it does look worse than others like Batman, Superman or Flash. AE's lift is already a bit dirty but that's just so much work when hopefully some kind of large reno is around the corner. Goliath's orange is already a bit faded and it would be a smaller repaint project, but being running rails it's just going to get dirty again quickly. Whizzer could maybe use one, but being in the forest and the most secluded coaster in the park (besides Dark Knight) won't work in it's favor. I've seen a bit of chipped paint on Demon but it doesn't seem worth it to repaint an old arrow. Anything I did not mention doesn't need it, at least that I can think of. Just spit balling thoughts

American Eagle definitely needs a major rehab. I liked the refurb they gave to Ghost Rider at Knotts Berry Farm about 8 years ago, I hope Eagle gets the same treatment

While the GhostRider refurb was fantastic (at least coming from someone who did not ride it beforehand - I've heard some people preferred it beforehand), it kinda seems like it was a one-off from GCI. Correct me if I am wrong, but I don't think Gravity Group's retracking was around at the time. GCI has since leaned much more heavily into their Titan Track since doing GhostRider. RMC and GCI get the steel/hybrid projects while Gravity Group gets the wood projects.

The Village Board approved the solar project tonight. The contractor said they plan to build as much as they can during the offseason, but they might not be done before the park opens for the season.

How tall are these things going to be? Will it be safe to park under them?

Will they emit any kind of unsafe radiation such as EMF, etc?

Speaking of American Eagle and Gravity Group, I am a firm believer that they should be the ones to American Eagle and not GCI or RMC. Obviously RMC already has a presence in the park, but GG's retrack would be all wood, which would obviously keep American Eagle as a wooden coaster. Not to mention that GG actually has a good relationship with SF in Bobcat and GG has experience with large-scale wooden coasters like this, unlike Zamperla before Top Thrill 2.
I'd only be okay with RMC Eagle if: - It's on the level of Steel Vengeance in terms of insanity. - It's NOT a Mobius loop. (Twisted Colossus)
Otherwise then I want to see a total rehab, maybe even adding an extra airtime hill at the end since the brake run is way longer than necessary now that it runs two trains. The main problem I see with rehab or even new trains is the Barrel. It's so high up and the trains need to maintain enough speed to make it up there. Using more lightweight trains will not make it up there.

Okay, if it was like a modified Steel Vengeance, I would totally take that over a GG retrack unless GG retracks it into a sister of Voyage. Both have spectacular airtime (or so I've heard at least for Voyage). We would finally receive a coaster that all enthusiasts could agree is the star of our show. (Some debate whether it is Raging Bull or Goliath. I'm leaning into Bull.)
