Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

My math instructor taught my class how to make a rap song, it's quite simple, put a bunch of random words about drugs and sex and some f-bombs and you have one that will make millions.

Papas, WTF are you talking about!?!? This topic is NOT about whether rap is good or not.
Has anyone been to this? Is it worth it?

My question is for those of you with a season pass: why would you spend $27 to go to the park on April 30 at night when you can just go the next morning for free. It seems like a waste of time and a waste of $27. Unless of course, you don't have a season pass, it might be an ideal time to go. I'm sure you can listen to it on the radio anyways.

I wouldn't pay $27 for 6 hours at the park when all the rides aren't going to be open and it could be quite crowded, when I have a season pass, but hey thats just me.

What?? I'm confused just a tad smidge! So you can listen to the radio or something, and get tickets?? Does someone have to drive you to the park?[/quote]

Anyone can go. You pay $27 for admission. It is hosted by B96. I'm saying that they'll have the event on the radio if you can't see it live. Anyone can get tickets. Just follow the link above.

I'll be going. Sounds like fun to me.
Plus it is one day before the park actully opens.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Ok lets look at this logically
-pay $27
-1 day before opening day
-alot of rides would not be operational
if you want to go more power to ya but I doesnt seem right to me.

hmmm, that might actually be fun...I'll be out there...because my friends and I will get there that afternoon....and we don't have anything else to do that night except hang out in our hotel...and wait for the park to open. So we might go.

That's not true. The reasons not all the rides would be open is because it would be a private event hosted by B96.

Yeah, actaually they will. They won't be open for the B96 party because they won't have all the staff their for a dumb private party....

So what, this will be just a party with only a few coasters open and that is it?

Yeah. Since it's hosted by B96, you'll probably see someone from the radio there and they'll get the first ride of the night on a certain coaster and that's about it.

I wish that I was able to come up for that! It would be sweet, even if only half the park were open.
Too bad that I might be in St. Louis, watching a Cubs/Cards game at Busch Stadium

This year's B-96 event will be hosted by Ed and Jobo who are talk jocks on the station.
They only sell a certain amount of tickets so the park is never packed.
Previous B-96 events have had an artist performing.
If you are into the music that B-96 plays, it might be worth going although as mentioned, its the night before opening day.
My silly ass is going to Advocate Day on April 24th just to get in the park a week early.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I'm gonna go just cause I wanna go. I think this is worth doing plus it gives me somthing to do after school that day.
Plus one of my friends on AIM will probably be there so I can meet him for the 1st time.

Advocate Day is a private buyout day for the Advocate health care industry.
They have it every year in April.

Chitown, do you have to have a family member or know someone in the Advocate Health Care buisness to go? I'm not planning on going then, but It would be nice for me and the rest of us to know.

It's a buyout. You buy the tickets through the company, and yes, you normally need to be part of the company buying out
