Why is igNIGHT-Grand Finale NOT Returning in 2014?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I know that no one really liked the show but why get rid of it? If you know the reason why igNIGHT is not returning next year or have any guesses why please let me know.

I personally likes the show. I didn't love it and I didn't hate it. I thought it was a GREAT addition for the park.

I loved the show. On one hand they spent so much money to get the show going and it did well. But Im sure it did have a very expensive running cost per show. Goliath is gona cost a fortune to get up and going so I feel this decision was probably a financial one. Who knows maybe itll return after Goliath is a hit and the park makes their money back and then some.

Do you think its possible that maybe the locals forced SFGAm to stop the show or the locals forced the Village of Gurnee Board to force GA to stop igNIGHT because of the loud noise? To me it seems possible.

nope. the locals have pushed hard against Gurnee and Gurnee and the park have worked with them but not held the park back to do so.
Their complaints at zoning meetings dont hold up progress and I doubt their complaints is what stopped IgNight. As Ive said Im guessing it was financial.

The locals have complained for decades about things, and the park always get's it's way because it's a major revenue source for the city. The locals should be happy about Great America, the property taxes in Gurnee are sky high to begin with, just imagine what they would be like without the park bringing in all that extra cash for the city....

It's probably not returning cause it was horrible like Spygirl with less plot?
