Season pass 49$ or 64$ ?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Is there a negitive to getting a pass from St Louis for 49 and using it up here? Can you still go to HH or get the SFGA parking pass?

It works just fine up here My pass is from SF STL and has parking on it as well. The only thing you loose out on is the worthless coupon book. You also must get it processed at SF STL before going to any other SF park.

You have to process the pass there. Nice try I guess but the trip to STL would make up the that price gap.

Unless you plan on hitting SFSTl before SFGAm, is a $15 savings worth it for the trip down there and back? If you live in the Chicago area, you will spend alot more on gas.

^Sure can. I used it at SF Great America, SF STL, SFKK and SFOG last year and will do the same 4 parks this year. The only issue is you must pay to park at SFKK even if you have a parking pass. No big deal as it ranges from $4-$7 to park for the day.

^I think SFKK will refund your money if you have a season parking pass though.

For the trip to SFStL, it's more where are you going to stay (motel / hotel) that's going to cost you money. If you have a bunch of people going to SFStL to get a season pass for Great America plus savings on parking pass. It might save you some $75, but you are paying for gas, and motel.

In my opinion the trip to SFSTL before SFGAm is worth it as SFSTL is well worth a visit. Also based on recent history at SFKK I wouldnt be sure its going to be a theme park much longer, so before they take out more rides or close it might even be worth getting your SP there just to say you've been there :).

^^ No refund on parking. We tried for 20 minutes.

^At SFKK, if you don't need a coupon book there, the power pass is $29.99. Works the same as a regular pass. Only negative is you can not add parking to your pass. Also, their opening day is the same as here. On the positive is you can be done with every dry ride in the park within 2-3 hours.

SF STL is well worth a stop. Driving from SF Great America to there is around 6 hours, depending on how you drive, with no traffic. The park's atmosphere is nice and feels more like a park of old. No random pop music everywhere, tons less ads and 3 good wooden coasters. Plus they have Mr. Freeze and the amazing Scooby-Doo shooting boat ride.

Yes they will. You take you parking receipt into guest relations with your season pass with parking and they give you you $6.00 back!

then why the hell do we have to pay 64.99-92.00? then 70.00 for parking? The bad thing is that a few of the coupons are a good value like the refillable souvenier drink glass 3.00 off from 10.00-7.00 and the parade coupon and a couple of others. I don't know does the 5 (more like 7 hour) drive justify the cost?? they say St. Louis but it is actually in Eureka Missouri almost another hour if you have never been there before. My family was supposed to go to SF STL but the weather was just too damn hot 95 at 8 am?!? WTF needless to say we did not bother.

The park is definitely worth visiting. I find it to be one of the better parks in the chain. My point was that if you are just going there to save $15, it's not worth it as you will drop much more on travel.

If he plans on hitting SFSTl before SFGAm opens for the season, by all means, it's worth the trip.

2. Mr. Freeze
3. Scooby's Scary Swamp
4. The Boss
5. Batman The Ride
6. Screamin Eagle
7. Tony Hawks Big Spin

If you find a ticket stub, they take that price off the pass. Got my pass from SF STL for $20 due to finding a ticket by Evel Knievel. Sadly, I found a parking stub on the way out and would have saved $20 on parking had I found it earlier.

It's because in my opinion we have a lot more money put into our park than SFStL or SFKK, and tons more rides (flats and roller coasters). To me, SFKK is even more a dump with Chang gone.

Honestly, because they can. There is a bigger market here and used as a baby sitter by tons of people. With SFKK and SF STL, it takes effort to get to the park.

What I will never get is why they do not do the season passes like Cedar Fair. Instead of making that money, they choose to do the power pass, which is costing them money.

Yeah, but someone actually offered me a ticket before I even got in the park, so I was like hey I'll upgrade

SFStL is one of my favorite parks. Almost every ride at that park is high quality and very rerideable and the park is freakin beautiful. in my opinion, Evel Kenival is one of the better wooden coasters out there because it just will not let up its speed in the back. Way better than the prowler 4 hours west...

Now, im not sure if its all all jewel grocery stores but i know its no more than $67 dollars for a season pass at jewel. That does include tax. Incase anyone wants to save a couple of bucks and go straight to the pass processing center instead of waiting at the entrance to buy a pass.

YES! I just bought my season pass yesterday at Jewel. Exact total : $66.49. It was the voucher for the season pass. Now im wondering, since i got a season pass last year, can the voucher renew my pass? Or does the voucher not allow me to renew? Does anyone know?

From last year to this year, there's no difference between renewing or buying a new pass (at least as far as I can see). However, this year though, they seem to have some perks built into the season pass program, so it may make a difference whether you renew or buy a new pass next season. I just bought a new pass since I never got the RCM mailer at home and never renewed online or during FrightFest last year.
