Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Trailblazer. It was removed a few years ago.

Trailblazer was removed from SOuthwest Territory due to many problems with other rides of this type.

^ In the future, you might want to let the Moderators moderate the site, and not direct people over to the wrong forum. The Problems, Questions and Suggestions forum is specifically for site issues NOT park related concerns.

Just to finish this off with a few more random facts...The base to Trailblazer is still there from what I recall. Actually they still have the ride in good condition somewhere. They could very easily put it back up if they ever wanted to. Which I kinda wonder if they might.

^ TrailBlazer will never come back. A design flaw was found, which although it could be fixed, it would be far too expensive

I know it's costly, but couldn't this have been good in a season like this? Any free ride for a company in trouble is perfect! What is the flaw anyways?

Batcave (a member of our forums) was the last one to ride it and broke it/ruined it for everyone. It will never operate again.

You broke Trailblazer.... I remember because I responded to it... Plus I was one of the last people to do the morning inspection on it... I had to climb up there since the other maintenance guy couldn't.... It was always fun to play a game of "What wildlife will attempt to kill me today?" The design flaw that caused the closure was a single point of failure in the power transmission between the gearbox and the wagon itself. It was in a location that could not be easily inspected, and if it failed would lead to the wagon smashing into the ground...

They don't use that area for anything now do they? I think a Fright Fest maze goes back there somewhere but I don't really know. I'm hoping they put in a shooting dark ride where Trailblazer was.

There is clearly some dramatic backstory that I am not aware of. Care to explain? And what is ROTM:TR?
