Hey everyone. This was mentioned by Brian in the Fright Fest thread, but felt it deserved it's own to not get lost as to post your finds.
For those that have not been, EVERY stores in the park is 50%. If you see an item in the store, it is 50%. The odd part is, some stuff there was there 2-3 weeks ago is gone. And stuff that was there during the Summer is back. An example is the Raging Bull 10th Anniversary shirt and Bizzaro watches are gone, but the Raging Bull and Carousel lapel pins are back.
Some time I truly wonder if this park wants to make money at all. To sell items that have not moved or food items, I get. However, to do the entire park at this rate is just stupid. This also makes me wonder (and worry) the park is moving to an all "generic merchandise you can find at a store" deal. But even then, all the generic crap was 50%. I'm have no clue what they are thinking and wonder if the park does either?
to clear their stocks, of course, if they don't sell, they go away. Simple logic, my dear Monsterfan99

Yes, but that implies the ENTIRE stock in the park is going away and starting fresh. This includes the new for 2009 M&M store. For a chain in bankruptcy, planning to start with all new stock is just stupid, not "simple" logic.
One again, if this was select merchandise that was not moving or dated stuff, I would get it. But the entire park? It says to me A) nothing in the park is selling or B) the chain needs the money now for Q4 numbers.

No matter what the end of season means great opportunities to get rid of as much as you can. If you took a business class and this came up everyone would be on THEIR side. They will not sell EVERYTHING anyway this is for the people who say tho themselves "Should we buy stuff today?" "Should be cheaper as it is closing weekend". Especially since mpst of the time each little thing costs $5 or more. last year closing day I found a horrible deal on a Six Flags sweatshirt for $34.99 by the entrance. No deal whatsoever.

Merch is cheap, i'm sure they'd rather sell it and bring in new stuff next year than have to store it somewhere all winter to possibly not even have it in the stores next year. I bet most of the excess at the end of the year goes to vault or the can anyway.

Well yeah, makes sense don't it? No one wants to buy a 2009 sweatshirt in 2010.....and etc.

Can anyone on here please answer me a question: Why is Six Flags selling Disney Goods?? Why aren't there more character goods ie Lola merchandise, Marvin and K9 etc, why No Flintstones, Jetsons or other cartoon network characters? Why do I have to see Disney Princesses and High School Musical?? Does anyone remember when Six Flags used to sell candles, leather jackets, and home goods??
