They are Rumors. Six Flags has not confirmed them. Calm down.

We realized that quite a while ago...
And I realize that but people keep posting rumors from Screamscape and then have arguments about whether its real or not.
I just think it's irrelevant.

onyxhotel08 wrote:I thought I was over it I really did. Truth is, what Six Flags did is wrong. Magic Mountain got to keep theirs for unknown reasons yet their Vu is part of an annual "rehab" that I'm sure costs a lot of $$. They have more than enough coasters to keep the public happy. We lost 3 rides. 1 being a great water ride that was still in good condition. We have SSA just standing there. The Dark Knight is a moose coaster that disappointed most fans. We have not gotten any real entertainment since Superman 5 years ago. I would have rather lost Iron Wolf or Whizzer. The two rides that are either old, rough or expensive to maintain.
Magic Mountain has a year round season as well as consistant weather. The big issues with DejaVu were the crazy amount of ride control related maintenence it needed in order to get it to work properly after an offseason of sitting there. Its all about consistant operation and with an offseason like GAm had it just took forever to program the ride to operate properly every spring which is why the ride very rarely was ready on the parks opening day.
Remember DejaVu's operation is all about timing, whenever there are drastic changes to the weather the rides programming has to be adjusted or the timing will be off. It takes weeks to properly re-program the ride, and when it needs to be done mid season thats bad news.
they really should have redone the entire control system for Vu. Basically if they put a row of sensors in at the bottom of each spike, the control system would be able to calculate the speed and time the catch exactly right. I bet Consign could have gotten it going alot better, though really SFGAm's was fairly reliable compared to the rest of the bunch. Also at least with consign they could tweak the program remotely
One question that just popped into mind, not sure if anyone knows, but does Roman still work at the park? He used to do all the PLC programming. He was/is good as what he did/does.

Silverwood is in Northern Idaho which means winters aren't exactly friendly either. That is why the climate argument falls flat for me. Does a park that brought in only about 550,000 people last year have the money or patience to deal with Aftershock? Did you guys hear Vekoma told Silverwood they did NOT need to install emergency scafffolding (SP?) because it was not needed? I can't wait to see how Aftershock does. Like I said before, a coaster with problems from the beginning will not magically run well at another park. Fools.
The thing that I did not get was how such a relatively short coaster could be so hard to manage. If I was Six Flags Inc. I would have sued Vekoma for all the stress and money loss/complaints that they endured all those years. Yeah, I can't wait to see what Silverwood does with Aftershock. It would be cool to ride Deja again maybe if Magic Mountain keeps theirs I will visit someday. That's along shot. I think their Deja Vu only has 1-2 years left on it. The entire Six Flags chain is looing to save money. Deja Vu even over there is a big money drainer. Maybe they will get rid of Vu for the 09 season and install that new woodie where Vu is and Psyclone used to be. That wouldn't surprise me. Good place for it.
I think it was because they had to spend money fixing it so many times and going back and fourth. Delays in construction also played a role. They probably hoped their Giant Inverted Bommerang Coaster would become more popular and they could make more. I'm sure they intended to make more than 4. I hear the one in Spain got better treatment and almost never has problems. Ever in Spain, check it out! I don't like it being called Stunt Fall though. The colors are ugly too.
Both flumes were just painted last spring, the green spraypaint blew over to Ragin Cajuns control panel as well as a bunch of cars in the employee parking lot.
I am impressed by how much work they are doing around the coaster. You know they are spening tons of money on that. There last addition was back in 1999. They also had to set up an aditional unti to store power for Aftershock. Hopefully, they get their moneys worth. Yeah, I said it. I'm over Deja Vu. Well, almost.
But I did notice something....They didn't remove the sign or anything for De Ja Vu which could mean they will re-use it sometime..... BUT they are only surveying the land for De Ja Vu's spot and not SWF spot....Which leads to my point, you can rule out the big coaster because if they aren't even looking at SWF, then they won't be doing anything for a long time.
Seems like they got something more stupid planned for DJV's spot.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
Just because we did not see them at the SWF area does not mean they aren't going to use that area along with Deja Vu's. I think the park was really lazy in not removing the sign and lines heading to the qeue I mean why leave that stuff for the whole summer? Oh, and with the millions spent on Aftershock, expect this to be the last addition for Silverwood for a LONG time. They are already behind schedule and testing has not even begun. The station is not even done. Yikes. I knew it would open in August.
