^Dude, your knees are going to be under your chin in those cars .....seriously though, i hope you'll get to ride as i would hate for anyone to miss out on it...
I got my ride in when i was lucky enough to be walking towards the ride when they finally opened it up around 12:30. I thought the ride was cool considering the fact that this is the first ride of its kind at the park. The theming was good throughout the ride and its amazing how they converted Royale into the queue house/Preshow area, you can still see remnants of the theatre (like house lights, spot room, sloped floor, etc) ,so for the royale fans you will still "feel" the theatre so to speak.
The pre-show itself was cool as well, the only thing the block of people that i went in with missed about 10-15 seconds of the pre-show because we were just coming in and looking around as it was playing, but it wasn't enough to really make a difference so we just enjoyed the preshow and then went to the inner queue that was right before the ride itself which was themed pretty well too with a little interaction setup(will let you guys see for yourself ) at th end just as you're opproaching the platform.
The cars themselves were pretty neat, and very comfortable as well. As for the ride, it was good for a mouse as i wasnt expecting a thrill ride which we heard from other people that rode it prior to the public opening. As we left the lift to run the ride course, i kind of poked my eye trying to adjust my glasses because the turns on it are crazy, so i kind of went through most of it with watery eyes and didnt get to focus on the theming to much as you are really moving at a fast pace. To sum it all up, it was a good ride experience for me for something that is new to this theme park. I'm sure there are going to be some pros and cons about this ride being discussed from now on as time progresses , so i will just focus on the good things for now and give people a chance to see it for themselves......
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
I think this ride is a very good addition to the park!!!!
I thought for a wild mouse coaster, it gave a excellant ride and while the theming wasnt the best, it was good for SF's standards and hopefully as time goes by they will enhance it. And once they get all the bugs worked out far more people will ride this than ride than those who rode DeJaVue. This ride wont be donw more time than it is open, and will be able to operate in any weather conditions. So kudo's to SFGAM for a very good addition to the park!!
I do not remember any mist. Not quite sure I saw pipes like this either... then again, it's pretty dark.
I was too wondering about that. I asked someone and it doesn't sound like they have them, or if they do they are not very powerful. I was sort of wishing they would use sparks or something of that sort.
It was fun but not waiting 1 hour and 53 minutes. I felt like the line was never going to end especially on the last hallway. The news report kinda freaked me out but I was entertained by watching the six flags commercial on the T.V's. Also it wasn't the best but it was really quick. I thought the seats were aslo comfy.
Well three days since the ride's opening and already people have started peeling the black paint off Theater Royale and the clown mask camera near the station has been damaged (camera skips, is delayed, and knocked out of position).
At least I got to see it when it was nice and brand-new.

It was like that on Thursday when i went as well. You would walk up to the camera and you'd still see the people before you on the screen and by the time the camera showed your image, you were just about on the coaster by then....
Yep...I noticed alot of peeled off paint last night already...showing the old red paint.
Also, people have started to figure out you can skip the preshow. Last night, of the 30-40 people in the preshow, only my group of 4 and one group of 2 were left. One group walked thru, and then everyone else followed. That really sucks.
