You know what rides the park has when you buy your ticket. If you dont like the selection, dont buy the ticket.
If you want a roller coaster so bad buy one and build it in your backyard.
There are many parks with better coasters that are within driving distance you can go to. Holiday World is a 6 hour drive away and Cedar Point is only 5 1/2. You can drive from Chicago to Great Adventure in one night, ive done it numerous times. All of these places speak english and take american money. If you want better coasters nothing is stopping you.
First of all, who are YOU to tell me to go to another park? What, if I am disatisfied with the way they manage the park I can't say so? Are people only allowed to post positive things about the park? Would I really not like the park if I already went twice even though I lost my main reason for coming back last year? I know about the other parks. I wasn't born yesterday. I go to Great America because I can't drive for over 5 hours to go anywhere else. Not everyone can do that you know.

I agree with you there. I did have an off topic question, how was the drive to Great Adventure?
Speaking of the 2009 attraction, I post concept drawings, and no one says boo!
Maybe I should go edit my post and remove them, as no one cares since its not a 400+ foot tall 200 MPH 40 loop steel, wood, and water coaster that costs 1000000000 Million dollars.
I am Touchdown Jesus, I live across the street from Notre Dame stadium if you wanna come settle this.

Its perfectly fine to be dissatisfied with the way they manage the park and post about it. If you dont like the way the park is managed thats one thing. If your going to complain on an online forum they need a new thrill ride and your still buying a season pass every year thats another thing. As Chitown said, sick of this crap. Rides cost millions of dollars, if your going to complain about a parks ride selection go to another park.

If I remember right its like 13 hours, if you leave in the afternoon you can easily get there the next morning.
am i the only one who wanted a new thrill ride....besides, that was a long time ago like i said recently i am fine with no new ride for 2009 as long as the park itself gets improved and rides are taken care of.
Like I've said before, I just want people (families) to come because of BB and spend money, so that we can later get a new mega super gigantic 400 foot 30 looping coaster!
It's like the snowball effect, start with something small, and build money off of it to get something bigger and better.
poor wolfie rip ( hopewe get a neww bm wingrider for next year!11!
Well, Instead of getting a mega coaster. A stormrunner would be much better than Kingda ka any day. As for Bucanner Battle, seems like a Disney World Ride.
I don't think six flags is going to build a coaster until they find the room and get the money for one. And even then, I don't think it will beat RB's popularity. But thats just my guess.

The last 4 days, the lines for food and merch have been insane. Nearly every family I saw was walking out with some toy from a game. Also, the back lot was full Saturday and Sunday. I'd say families are spending the money.
I must say that looks pretty cool. I especially like that a lot of the cannons are along the entrance. I think if they put some of the cannons in the line, it would get people into the ride before they get on it which is a good thing. We'll see how it turns out, but this ride has some potential!
Remember, there's nothing but air beneath the chair.
Of course they will spend some money. Food, drinks, mementos, etc. will usually be bought by everyone especially families in decent numbers. However, they aren't buying like they used to. People are saving money more these days and don't buy a lot of things they don't need. Everyone knows how expensive everything is at the park. Even small things like glasses and hats are more than twice as much as you can get them somewhere outside Six Flags. The only way I can see a nice increase in customer spending is a period where for at least 3-5 seasons prices aren't increased. Let them stay the same. Or cut back on some of those items that always seem to go without a purchase. Maybe have a promotion. Buy two souvenir cups them the 3rd for $5. Be more creative in terms of pricing. I want 2009 to be a season of improvement for our beloved park.

ahem.....not quite my friend
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

They are going for rides that don't cost as much money as a gigantic roller coaster, and anything that brings people to spend money. If the park was all about family friendly, you think they would cancel Fright Fest than. It doesn't seem very family friendly to me. The family friendly thing is a cover up to get more people to come to the park, and to sell more advertisements at the park. Hey, look the rowdy teenagers are under control now. Now, you can come to the park too.
I think the reason why this topic has gotten too off-topic is because people aren't really excited about this new attraction.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
I just saw now (not sure if that is what rico28 says he is seeing in the diagram or not), but there are words in black next to the ride queue area with black arrows.
I plan on going to the park at some point this weekend, and if I do, I'll see if I can either get a better picture of that, or write down what that says.
