I always only bring three things.
Wallet (which includes ID and Season Pass
Camera
Cell Phone

I really wonder what people bring in their backpacks...

I do too. I always see people with huge purses (teenage girls) and big backpacks and i wonder why that is completely necessary. Why does a girl have to have her whole makeup bag in her purse if she's going to a theme park where her hair is going to get whipped around and her makeup is going to wear off. Does it matter that much?

anyways, I think some of these changes are a bit disappointing. I'm sad about Antoine's Ice Cream Parlor becoming a cyber cafe. It's a nice idea, but can't they put it into one of those tweeny shops like Frenchy's? I agree with whoever said that the park will one day be all panda express, coldstone, johnny rockets and papa johns. I didn't get much from Demon Nachos, but do we really need a third Johnny Rockets type place in the park? Oh well though, I guess that's what happens when a park on it's way down the hole.

Totally agreeing with Ally. Like, I carry my purse around almost everywhere, but not theme parks. And I never understood how the heck many girls' hair look perfect, as if they haven't been riding rides, but they have. After riding some rides my hair is always messed up and gets knotty by the end of the day. Drives me nuts.

And very glad to hear that GAR is staying! I was shocked to find out like right before the last day of the season that it was possibly being removed. I wish that they'd have cars on both tracks though.

Yeah, the rumor about it being removed was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. Believe me, hanging from DDD and seeing SWF is bad enough imagine if GAR was gone too...the horror

As for lockers, I carry very little in the park. But I would like to carry a sports bottle, and actually spend some money in the park. But with the locker policy Im prevented from doing so, so I will spend little money in the park due to the ABSURD locker policy.

So the lockers will cost them at a good amount of my families money and the lockers DO nothing to improve customer service. If they have lockers, they should also force people wearing flip flops to either carry them on the ride, or rent a locker as they do more to slow down lines than people securing there property in the bins.

Amen to that Bob O,

maybe if they made locker free for season pass holders, they'd sell a lot more.

(^That's a rhetorical statement)

Maybe if they made the lockers free for pass holders...they'd sell more passes. I got my pass for 55 bucks this year, which is the same price as a ticket. I'm sure they could increase the price of the pass and offer more benefits.

Last year I very happily only spent 10 bucks in the park (all on games too!), so the switchover of the restaurants doesn't bother me at all, though it'd be nice if they gave them names that had something to do with the area of the park they are in. Happy to hear GAR is still kicking, I thought when gas hit 4 bucks last year it was sure to go.

I still think for 2010 the new attraction should be a REMODELED Theme Park. Like Many have said, Repave the park, put in stone pathways in spots, rebuilding fences, planters, put in a few more fountains, do not remove them to put in games, at more plants, more grass, more benches. The Park really needs a Renovation, its turning into a dump, w/ rides in it. I did not visit Six Flags at all for the 2009 Season, Probably will not attend for the 2010 Season Either, Id rather make my twice a year trip to Cedar Point, i get more thrill and enjoyment out of it, and there park has way more themeing and is Beautiful.

^ I agree with alot of that. There is so much stuff in the park that is in less than perfect condition. That said, I think 2011 should be the year they do that. In 2010, we really need some sort of major coaster. We haven't gotten a major coaster since 2003. The park tried to market TDK as a "thrilling" coaster, and that definitely blew up in their face. Unfortunately, as far as the advertisements and ride lockers go, thats just a very negative side effect of being owned by a company that has a $2,000,000,000 debt.

And he said he never visited the 2009 season and won't attend the 2010.....

Does he mean didn't attend 2008, and won't attend 2009?

they changed the in park marketing for dark knight to a family ride. and it didn't blow up in their face. as up untill fright fest it had the 2nd longest line in the park. So they view it as a huge success.

But the longest wait has either got to be one of three:

V2
Superman Ultimate Flight
Raging Bull

Every new ride has a long line doesn't mean everyone end up liking it. It is really Bull/Superman with the longest lines on a peak summer day or weekend in June/July/August and of course FF. Dark Knight should fall hard this year in terms of lines. Everyone who wanted to go on it probably has a few times already and it's always the big boys (Bull, Superman, V2, Batman) with CONTINUED long lines throughout the years.

Ragin Cajun. Always at least a 30 minute wait, even in May.

LOL ride popularity isn't judged by how long the line is, it is judged by turn style readings. Given this information, Superman traditionally rates as the most popular attraction in the park. You also must keep in mind that this is only based off of which attractions have a turn style so kiddie rides are disqualified. I'm not sure but I'd be willing to venture a guess that dark knight cracked the top 3 list for most popular attraction, because it had a good amount of ridership in 2008. Did it do what they expected? Well we shall see, if they install similar attractions (bleh) at other parks then it probably did fairly well. SFaddiction: How is SFGAm becoming a dump? Sure it's no SeaBreeze, but it's really hard for any corporate park to be. Simple fact is this; SFGAm is one of the best if not the best park in the chain, and the money they would spend on improving the park would be much better spent improving SFKK or SFA. With all that said i believe it's time SFGAm looked once again to the thrill seeker market as they have spent every year since 2004 focusing on families, and they totally dropped the ball on dark knight (who didn't see that coming?) I think it's time that SF focused on a different part of the family (dad, mom, teens) because a well rounded selection for families is the key to success (KI,CP,SFGAv,HW ect...)
I'm irreverent and stuff...

They are taking the easy way out and doing a HH addition for 1010 which I think is not completely necessary right now as no major attraction has showed up at the park itself in 6 years. Yes, families are important. So are thrill seekers as they are the ones who will be going to their friends going "Dude, Six Flags Great America has this awesome new coaster that goes over 75 miles per hour blah blah blah." Despite popular belief, thrill seekers help too because nothing beats going to the park (especially during a rides opening) and knowing all the scary parts of the ride you will experience.

Rides like Bull have people talking (even in trademark park ride ways) years after they debut. ^^Sorry wrong button pressed...mods if you can fix it please do^^SRRY

You have to factor in that right now SIX has no cash and a terrible credit rating, they dont want to buy things that they arent going to be making profit off of as soon as possible.

I would guess that RB would have the highest rider count of all the rides in the park, and could be much higher if they would use all 3 trains!!!

And while Cedar Point is a excellant park with some great rides, I wouldnt call the park beautiful!!!
Compare CP to a park that is beautiful like BGW, and you can see there is no comparsion in the least IMHO.

What do you mean by "If they Would"

I've seen RB running Three trains all the time.

It's more rare for SuF to run 2 trains.

Often when I have been at the park RB was running only 2 trains, and rarely did it open with 3 trains to start which made long lines develop far sooner than they should have.

15 out of my 17 trips to the park in 08 I saw bull running 3 trains.
and the 2 times that they were running only 2 trains they put 3 on later that day.
