Paradise Plunge and Riptide – Speed Slides
Invigorating thrills await on these sky-scraping towers of downhill fun! Soar towards the waters below at up to 40 mph on two of the most fast-paced slides in the park.
48” height minimum.
To bad its already at the park! That Website is for MEDIA NOT US!
SWF has been on that site for 4 months. "Paradise Plunge" picture is supposed to show off our slides. They didn't have a picture of our yet built slide at that time, so they used that one to show off the purple slide. The pic at our PR site is NOT a hint, lets just call it using what you got
I'm very weird about not being secured in with a harness... anything can happen. I can go on any coaster but come to water slides I'm a baby. The tube rides I'm ok with because I have something to hold onto.

I know what you mean! That's why I've always been so afraid to ride speed slides, (and also why I used to be a bit afraid to go on ANY slide) especially the Dragon at Deep River. You have nothing to hold onto but yourself, and they tend to sting your back a little. Sometimes on the Dragon people would sit up while going down and that's pretty scary.

Me neither. Unless they put something that is a must ride.
Its worth riding everything atleast once...you may like the slides.

^Agreed. Skull Island is a blast to hang out in and Wahoo Racers are awesome. Plus, just walking through it is awesome because the atmosphere is gorgeous. I think Tornado is a nice addition and you should really give it a try.

I get the same way! The one thing I've ridden that has scared me the most would definately be one of those freefall waterslides. Once was enough for that
Also, that first diving curve on the Whizzer scared the crap out of me when I first rode it. Especially when the seatbelt let me slide all over the place.
As far as Tornado goes, I'm not to excited about it. I never really had any burning urge to visit the waterpark last year, and I expect this year to be the same.

I sure hope HH will be less crowded this year. I also hope crowds from HH don't go into the regular park. I might go to HH if the crowds are reasonable.
^The key is to go on a cold day. I did that and Hurricane Harbor made that day one of my favorite trips to six flags ever. Did I mention how excited I am about Tornado?

I hope more of the slides are open. I remember a lot of days when there would be only one side of a water attraction open and the lines were long..

^That was my biggest con with the waterpark as well. I was there when at one point Hurricane Bay, Hurricane Mountain, the two bowl slides, and the two speed slides were all closed. In addition, lines were about 45 minutes for the other slides.
