/\ I doubt that they will give peices of Shockwave away to some enthusaist that wants it. They would rather make money on it, so I doubt they will let you have pieces of it.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
That, and Six Flags Security doesn't have the authority to give you permission. You would have to talk to either SFGAm Management or even Six Flags Corporate to get that permission. Security guards are paid to be Rent-A-Cops, they don't make the rules, they only enforce them.
Don't you think that they could at least sell part of the ride to people that would want it. I mean if they cut up the track into small pieces i would pay like 5 dollars for a piece mabye a cubic foot or less. They could sell them in the gift shop. Not to say they could get all the pieces sold, but they could make more money that way, don't you think?
I don't think Six Flags cares about the enthusiasts or whoever would want a piece of Shockwave enough to even do that. I think they just want to get rid of it
It's about time they do something with it. It's pretty sad that another SF park doesn't want it, or is it? Basically, at the end of it's time, it had walk-ons all the time. That's something you don't want to happen to a coaster that you have in FRONT of the park.
For me it banged my head around, and when it didn't, it became so mundane and boring. Adios Shockwave! I'll leave it at that.
How many people would buy a piece of Shockwave? A hundred is pushing it. LoL
I am sure that Six Flags PR has already saved some so can be auction off during the Ace No Coaster Con or during the ACE Coaster Con. Heck they might even save the 3 Front cars and Auction all the 3 Front Cars off. I know there some people who would love to have one of those in their Living Room.
4 front cars. It use to run 4 trains. I'm pretty sure it is in storage somewhere. They still have all six trains for american eagle and all 5 for Whizzer.

Can I just take a second to point something out?
Steel is not the most expensive part of a ride's construction BY FAR. There is something else that costs a lot more to put up, and if a park doesn't think that they will have a stellar ride that can be run for years and remain very popular -- like a Tidal Wave, flat ride or whatever -- it doesn't make sense for the park to invest a ton of money in the non-steel, non-reusable parts of an installation.
Shockwave is gone not because of any accident or any consipiracies or because aliens told Wintrode to put it there or anything like that. It is gone because Whizzer is a much more popular and family friendly ride where Shockwave was not.
While it was a nice part of history while it lasted and I enjoyed it, I'm in no way sad it is gone... although I do miss ElectroShockwave around this time of year...
