Oh, this is just boring news to me. I was happy with or without any new addition, and I honestly believe that this is great for the park. I'm not into flat rides at all and I probably wont ride the wild mouse more than once or twice. I never was the one begging for a new coaster, I honestly thought we were not going to get any new rides this year. So, this is just a boring announcement to me, not to the rest of you. (And no, I am not hoping/looking foreward to any new coaster next year).

Jeez, S:UF has grass under it what more do you want?
Having seen the themeing of the other S:UF in Georgia, I would like more. I'm not complaing that there is no Metropolis area around it the whole queue is just plain, besides the signs which are at the other one too. Also, the one in Georgia had a cliff and rocks and a mini-tunnel to add to the ride experience.
Well S:UF was designed for SFoG, I expect it to be better there (kinda like B:TR, it's better here than at other parks).
And Aero, the parks not centered around you, family's are important to parks and it's nice to finally see SFGAm fill the gaps.
Huh, I never said/wanted the parks to be centered around me. I want them to draw more families/people. Like I said before, I wasnt even wanting anything for 2004, I was so happy with the way the park was (S:UF). So, I never whined that the park didn't "suit my needs" with these new rides, its more like I don't care about it. It just doesn't interist me, simple as that...
It's great that they are starting to once again gear towards a more family atmosphere. The addition of the mouse will be good becuase now families will have yet another coaster where small children can ride. I don't really know height requirements for that type of ride, but I'm thinking 36" and above.
The only conflict I see is the whole capacity issue thing. 9 cars with 4 passengers each....isin't it only like 900 pph or something like that? I could be wrong becuase I'm not too good in the mathematics field.
I'm also positive that the questionalbe ride (forgot the name) is a Rock N' Tug. I just can't see families with smaller children riding a disko. They both have the U-shape track, but on the Zamperla website the Rock N' Tug is classified under "Family Rides" and the Disko is classified under "Major Rides/Thrill Rides"
EDIT: The Zamperla website must be down, otherwise I'd would post the information.
But does the Rock 'n Tug spin? Because supposedly that ride is supposed to spin, and the Disko spins. In this article, it says that Jester's Wild Ride spins: http://biz.yahoo.com/prnews/040117/cgsa002_1.html
The rides arent the only family stuff they are adding. There was ANOTHER article in the harold today (1/18), page 2, and it said they are returning to the good old six flags stuff, and having an hourly loony tunes show, and a character crew like disneyworld. This should be really good. Also, I think it might be a disco also.
Jesters Wild Ride: from what I know will be a one of a kind ride that rocks back and forth but is on a U shaped track kinda like Half Pipe http://rcdb.com/installationgallery1826.htm?Picture=2 but instead of a skate board you ride in a Mardi Gra Float http://groups.msn.com/kylecoasterworld/ ... otoID=4067 like that and then the float starts to spin in circles this sounds like is gonna be an awesome attraction I cant wait to find out more about it.
Correct me if Iam wrong but thats how Susan Storey explained it.

So will this be like a Disk-o or a coaster like that Half Pipe one?
Also, DID ANY ONE ASK ABOUT THE RUMORED FLOORLESS OF 05'?!
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
I think this is awesome!!! I can't wait! I wonder how easily we'll be able to see the constuction from certain areas around the park.......only a few months to go!!!!

I'm VERY excited for this retheming. This section was well overdue. The new rides will be great for the average family parkgoers. I'm sure it'll be a hit. I really hope the rides look like they do in the press pictures. Also, I hope SFGAm keeps up the wonderful landscaping job they have done over the years. (Nice trees, grass, and shrubbery around S:UF) Also, the new GM seems like a great guy, and seems very straightforward about everything. Next year hopefully will set off a new age of excellence from SFGAm. New renovations across the park will be nice. Maybe they'll get rid of those low flow hand dryers they got last year . Also, WHY WOULD SOMEONE ASK ABOUT THE '05 FLOORLESS RUMOR? Do you think they'd have an honest answer?
that looks a little blah, but I dont care, its a family ride and I'll try it anyway.. I wasn't even expecting to get this much for 2004! BTW... i heard we were going to get a vegas style illusion show and now im hearing its cancelled, any announcements on that?

I'm confused about why Batman is getting painted yellow. Is it because it's in the area getting rethemed, or just because it needs a new paint job and the GM thinks it would look better?
I think SFGAm needs to retheme Yankee next, but that would be too much to ask for with the new theme for 2004.
I think they should just merge Yankee Harbor and Yukon Territory into one big territory, retheme it to a nuatical theme, and then turn the covered bridge that was connecting the two into a rope bridge. They could also add a waterpark there . That would be really sweet and would definately complete the park . Will probably never happen, but I can dream .
Some enthusiats look down on the GP because unlike them, they don't know everything about roller coasters. I personally don't look down on them and make fun of them because, let's face it, we were all part of the GP before we became enthusiats .
