Parks do not own color schemes. Six Flags owned the park Stunt Fall is at when it was built. Seriously, owning colors, puh-lease
I own blue. Paint anything blue and I'll sue
Well, paint anything gray or black and I'll sue. In fact, you are infringing upon my color's right now with your text.
I like Stunt Fall's color scheme. I think it looks really good.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/
All I'm saying is that a new home, new name shouldn't Aftershock be painted a new color scheme?
I think all the money Silverwood is spending on Deja installation and everything will prevent them from painting it so soon especially since they only have about 3 months before Aftershock is set to open. I would die laughing if it was delayed though just like Deja Vu was delayed in 2001. Actaully, I would love that, Payback for taking my beloved, albeit unrelaible, Deja Vu.
If Vekoma is coming in to Silverwood to do some work on Aftershock, why didn't they come in and repair Deja Vu when it was stll at Great America? How hard can it be to repair a coaster like Deja Vu? Seriously, so many years, so much money spent I can't believe Six Flags just gave up and now Silverwood could have a winner if all the problems with vu don't occur with Aftershock.
Silverwood can't handle this beast
It took Six Flags 6 years and it still did not work out
I'm sure a small park like Silverwood can figure it out
Yeah right

So why is Vekoma goin to Idaho and making it seem like it will help Aftershock? Vekoma built Deja Vu how can they not figure out how to repair it after all these years? It infuirates me Deja was doin MUCH better last season at Great America and they still sold it.without.anything.to.put.in.its.place.
Yeah, the Vekoma of today is a totally different company from the one that built DV. Back in 01 Vekoma was run by a Rodger Houben, not long after DV opened Vekoma went bankrupt and all it's assets were bought up by a dutch steel company and everyone was let go (they went on to form Kumback), and now the entire Vekoma product line and R&D and all is a whole new set of people, who apparently know nothing about some of the stuff that the old company did, like the entire inner workings of Deja Vu
Also of little importance but when the steel company bought Vekoma the name changed, was VEld KOening MAschenfabrik (spellings a may be a bit off), but they changed it to just Vekoma, the word rather than the acronym.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
I believe "VEld KOening MAschenfabrik" roughly translates in English to "The King of manufacturing". It doesn't seem like it. I would've hoped when they bought Vekoma they would have studied the past engineers and had some clue what they were doing.
I'll be going up there today, in a little while. I won't be surprised if I start crying when I see more of the cobra roll gone. I seriously have so many memories of that ride, and I still didn't get on it enough.
i just found out that i was one of the finalist!!!!!!!!!! I get to go to Silverwood for free and be one of the first to ride Aftershock!!!! My other name Spitfire was ranked in the top ten list as well. This is amazing!!!!!
yeah this is great!!!! if u look at the top ten list i think mine which is Spitfire was number 4 but i also wrote down Aftershock so i got an e-mail saying that i was one of the finalist and get to there and be the first to ride it and also go to this party for it. I am soo happy i cant believe it!
