The carpet on Carousel is a wreck. The top of the train looks really bad. The top of Carousel doesn't look too bad but a paint job wouldn't hurt. American Eagle could definitely use a paint job and it sounds like that's happening.
The carpet on Carousel is only 3 years old. It was replaced in 2010. That's just how its going to be unless they decide to go with wood flooring. As for paint, Carousel will be painted this year. They already painted the actual ride in the spring, but ran out of time to paint the exterior before the park opened.
Do you think they will ever build a new pass processing center? I would really like to see one with inside and outside park access or possibly the current one and one outside the park. I feel that would be much more efficient
Originally the park was planning on making the former County Fair Arcade (Magiquest) the new pass processing center. Never heard why that didn't happen.

You'd still need to process your pass to make it a card.
Put the processing center in a place where you can build a queue line for it. Why not just relocate it or build a second one (or maybe third) so it's more convenient for guests who go to different parts of the park during their visit, eliminating the crowdedness in HS during FF and on Opening Day.
Now thinking of it, since they can fit a coaster in SWAmp's area if they ever removed it, they could build a brand new center in RC's area if it's officially being removed.
Point is, we need a new Pass Processing Center. This current one just isn't doing the job when it comes to keeping the midways clear and being efficient. I think Carousel Plaza is best option.

The top of Columbia is not painted, it's copper. Cali's just polished theirs before this season and it really looks fantastic, I hope we do the same when they paint the facade.
Pass processing center back in the day was at the front of the park where Guest Relations is now. I don't understand why they ever moved it. If they are going the fingerprint route like Busch Gardens does, that will eliminate any need to take pictures and thus save time.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
It also prevents any chance of someone handing their pass off to someone else. Even if you don't look like the person on the pass, after awhile, and I have seen it, the employees don't even look at the picture to verify. They just scan the pass and give it back.

Thanks. I guess that makes sense. Everyone knows the blue side is better.
I have no idea why people think that. Blue has an S-Curve and Red has a airtime hill over that.....And Since Red's helix is bigger it's smoother/slower. Red is hands-down the better side. Blue backwards: That freaking drop. But forwards is just....meh.
"I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
I do agree that the drop when going backwards is pretty insane. It just feels like the drop will go on forever.
I would also agree that the red side of American Eagle is the better side. I like that fact that the red side has another air time hill after the helix. When blue comes out of the helix and has to do that curve under the red side it just seems dull. I like more airtime hills so that is why I think red side is the best of the two.
It had always been blue only backwards. Red side is better forwards for the extra airtime hill and the fact it usually beats blue by a hair when racing as long as trains are dispatched at the same time.
I would like to concur that I far prefer the red side to the blue side when they run both forward. The airtime hill and the fact it is not AS rough in the helix both turn me on. I know it's not likely but if funds are available I'd like to see BOTH sides get topper track through the helix if not for the whole ride.
Just got back. Nothing at all visible for Fright Fest that wasn't already there. For Goliath, all the Iron Wolf footers are gone, and the last Iron Wolf support is gone.
Also, Sky Trek Tower broke down before the park opened. It was stuck on the "I" in Six Flags. When I made it around at about 11:45, it was at the bottom, with about 6-8 mechanics, the Operations Manager, and Hank Salemi. I have to say, I've never seen Hank at a downtime, but that can't be a good sign
