Kyle, I have spoken to Wendy three times today about this. At 9pm she finally told me that after Shapiro was deliberating with the park general managers they have agreed NOT to limit re-entry.
So, the good news is that re-entry will be allowed. The bad news is that you never know what awaits come 2007.
As of 12:08 p.m. on 1/14/2006, SFNE now has no stated policy. This is a change from yesterday. This adds them to the majority of parks in the Six Flags chain. It should be noted that the policy pages of the parks with no stated policy look identical to each other. The only exceptions are SFOG and SFGE. It may be a generic place holder that can be changed quickly.
I would not say we are safe on this one until all parks have a stated policy of allowing same day re-entry on their web-sites, regardless of what the PR hacks say. It is their job to prevent negative perceptions and press. It may be that they let the dust settle until we are very close to opening day, then change their minds again and deny same day re-entry.
Granted this is only speculation, but for them to have even considered this policy shows me that this company is not above any money grubbing greedy idea.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.
RE-ENTRY If you intend to return to the Park later the same day, please retain your ticket and have your hand stamped at the main entrance prior to leaving.

Wait till everyone has to bring in bags to store all their stuff and all have to be checked, and when lockers are sold out and everyone has to carry them around it will slow the rides down more so they can go put them to the side.
I Can't wait to see lousy ride hours go even lower
That seems to be the trend around the chain this year. Parks that have announced new attractions have been raising their prices right after the announcements. Just look at SFMM, SFGADV, and I believe one of the parks in Texas as well.
That's why I rushed to get my SFSTL pass this past week. They are slated to announce the new additions soon, and I didn't want to get stuck.
Good to see the about face on the re-entry policy.

The price raise isnt cause of the Tornado, it is cause of the new Six Flags. It was bound to happen, if you think about it, they could easily make SFGAm's entry fees $54.99 and season passes $104.99 or higher cause there is NO competition of a theme park of its calibur close to it. The closest thing is MAYBE Mt. Olympus, but it is $99.99 for a season pass there and expensive and not as good. The next closest thing is CP, which people, like families, wont drive out 4 1/2 to 5 hours to go to. So they could raise the prices and maybe lose about 100-500 people per day, but in the long run, they end up making more money.
Figure about 10,000 people on average at 44.99, that is $449,900 in entry, but with the loss of 500 people, it would be 54.99 with 9,500, that is $522,405. Then you count in food, let's say each person on average buys $20 of food. So that is $200,000 in food with 10,000 people and $190,000 with 500 less people. So in the end, they end up with $649,900 with 10,000 people and $712,405 with 500 less on average. Then there is games too, which would be about $10 per person, so the totals then come out to $749,900 with 10,000 people and $807,405 with 500 people less.
These are only theoretical numbers, but in most cases, that is what an average person usually spends at a theme park. So, the park is now looking out to make money, I do agree with the raise of prices, it will slightly decrease attandance, but bring in a greater profit.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
I've never had a season pass. Can you go the park as many times as you want for only $85. As many times as you want? If this is true. After 2 visits you already have your money's worth.

Thats why you get them in October
Yeah well my mom's an idiot. She was waiting for an e-mail to come about season passes, and I've told her a million times it's not going to happen & to just get the damn things already. Still waiting for it to happen.
yeah i just used the blue passes they sent out in the mail. My friend's mom renewed them, and bam!, i had a pass. Who knows if they'll do that again. It seemed kinda successful though....
The Season Pass always goes up just around this time. From my experience, they offer a $15 discount till sometime in Jan. Then it goes up $5 and offer a $10 discount when you buy it on there web site. So that means that Regular (Price at the Park) price is $104.99. Last year pricing at the park was 99.99.
Single Day tickets I believe will be priced at $47.49 vs. 44.99 last year
2 day tickets will be 57.49 vs. 54.99 last year.
Right, but Magic Mountain is open year-round. So, anyone who visits during the winter automatically receives a free season pass? I could see how that would make sense if it was an incentive to buy your season pass 6 months before opening day like Great America does. But to offer that incentive while the park is open makes no sense.
