How is V2?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Why??
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909
A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

The launch still gets me, but the ride itself is fairly tame.

I find V2 to be extremely fun and exciting! It's my favorite coaster in the park, too!!! For any first timer, the launch will blow you away and the brake will scare the crap out of you..FRD don't listen to them man, give it a ride and have a blast! :D

The launch is like whoa and the brake would not be that bad if it weren't for that grinding noise it makes. That combined with how loud the ride is kind of freaks me out. I'm so glad I tried it, though and still enjoy it.

Ive been on RnR, so the launch really wont be a surprise for me. I know V2's launch has a lot of force though, unlike RnR.

Hopefully its open tomorrow, because Im ready to ride!

It's pretty much my least favorite coaster at the park as well. It's not a BAD ride, but to me it's pretty boring, no real airtime to speak of, and the launch really doesn't seem that intense at all especially after riding a couple rocket coasters. I'll ride it...but I won't wait more than a few dispatches.

I would agree with Raging Bull in that V2 isnt a bad ride, but it does get boring due to its lack of any other elements.
And also having ridden rocket coasters, the launch is good, but nothing special and IMHO it isnt worth a lonmg wait but good as a walk on.

The ride is good to me. I will ride it but I agree with Bob O i wouldn't wait for it if it was like 20 minutes. My favorite part is on the one tower when it does that little break/stop thing. I forgot what you call that.

On the other hand, it does serve a really good purpose.

It does eat up a lot of the GP.

That's the one at SFMW though.

Went to Six Flags yesterday, and FINALLY, it opened. Don't be discouraged by the "This Ride Will Not Open Today" sign, or if Deja Vu is still on the list out in front--those can never be trusted. Yesterday, Deja Vu was supposed to open around 1, but didn't do anything until almost 4--being one of the first in line, though, made it worth the wait.

I wouldn't say it's worth the wait when there's no grouper and the line reaches the zig-zaging queue. It's too short, in my opinion, but very nice if you catch a short line and manage to get the front row. Last night's ride was awesome. The sun had just set, the temperature was just right, the fireworks were going off, and everything felt just great. I wouldn't torture myself by waiting an hour in the sun for it, though.

The one at SFMW is awesome. Cause you actually go upside down.
