If you ask GAm, they will tell you they no longer have all the theming items, and as for their old song, they say they only have peices of it and lost the rest of it. I know first hand that aint true, but Thats what they will tell you!

I say we start a petition and all write in to see if that helps them put up some of that theming. I'd love to see it. Anyone have pictures of it? If writing to SFGAm supposidly swayed their decision on Whizzer, it sure will at least give them something to ponder.

Lol, the public outcry had nothing to do with them keeping Whizzer and taking down Shockwave. I guess you could say that Shockwave coming down all happened by accident in a way. :)

They had to have at least considered it and thought about it. I read somewhere that after hearing how disappointed many guests would be, they saved Whizzer. Here you go, this is just how coasterbuzz said it, I don't know if it is correct or not... "Six Flags Great America announced yesterday that Shockwave would be dismantled and sent elsewhere to make room for their 2003 attraction. Shockwave was chosen to take the fall after public outcry forced them reconsider the removal of Whizzer."http://www.coasterbuzz.com/news/news.asp?NewsID=4520

Hey you can call your homepark where you feel the most at home. Maybe if I visited a few more times, I could call it my homepark. But yeah, you're right my homepark is a half hour from my house, not 8.

I just meant that maybe they would consider it. I know that just because of letters Whizzer was not saved. I know that there were other major factors, but I think maybe sitting in the back of their mind as a lurking variable the park board thought just a little bit before they made their decision.

Shockwave busting an axle and almost cutting someones foot of nailed the coffin shut. That and the park brass never liked Shockwave. The public outcry is BS. Just used to cover up the accident that "didn't happen"

Those are some nice pics. It is nice how SFGAm has grown since it opened!Just a few minutes ago when I was just looking around online when I find something about the Demon getting stuck in one of the vertical loops on my birthday in 1998. I knew about this for a long time, I just never knew the date. Just wanted to share... I just find it interesting lol.
