From what i was told the brakes malfunctioned, causing the train to slow to the point that it almost didnt make the loop, it didnt miscatch
The brakes after the first tower activated when they wern't supposed to, causing the train to inch over the cobra and loop. If the train was empty it woulda been a valley.
What can the gp do? If it's not operating, it's not operating. I just can't believe it got stuck. Was the train coming out of the first or second tower? Eitherway, I always thought the train had enough speed to make it each way.
Let's not try to make a huge deal out of this. I mean it's pratcially ran flawless from May until now. Consider it better than being at a park that's open year round, but only operate theirs 2 months out of the year!

Yes, that is what happened, but since it went through the loop so slowly, it was unable to catch onto the second lift. Therefore it was a miscatch....
That's not good. Last time it "disappeared," it wasn't seen for 2-3 months.

Deja Vu reopned at around 6:45 today, I was in line from 4:30 until that time. THere was many test runs where the train went up the 1st tower and when the cable released the train it just stayed there and didn't move. Me and my brother got Row 1A on the 1st ride after the 2 hour and 15 minute wait.
That's great. The only problem is that you don't know how long until it gets stuck on the other side again. If it keeps doing this, we are going to have one very, very long topic. 2 hours and 15 minutes wasn't that long, was it?
You get to look at a great piece of artwork. The thing that amazes me with roller coasters, flats, water rides, real trains, houses, and other buildings is that they were all made by people. It sounds weird, but look how far we have come to build great things.
So, sure some people will say that D Vu is a mechanical failure, but to me it's a mechanical miracle when working right, just like any other ride at SFGAm. No one could have predicted that people would be attracted to a wooden, or steel structure that carries passengers at incredible speeds with loops, hills, boomerangs, corkscrews, and so on. We are living in some great times.
Sorry for the soapbox. (I guess people saying it's a piece of artwork gets to me.)

I makes me go wwwoooooowww!!!!!!! If people didn't love it, there wouldn't be an hour and a fifthteen minute line.
And for whoever said make it faster coming back down on the first tower right when the ride is about to end (maybe different topic but still about D Vu), this goes out to you. Why?????? I love that experience.

The thing that I love about Vu is the fact that it is so different from everything else in the park. The slow trip up the first tower is filled with anticipation; the boomerang and cobra roll are completely discombobulating and the catch cars also add a neat jolt to the ride. I just find the ride really exciting from start to finish. I guess it's just a matter of opinion, though. Sure, I'm very disappointed when I go and it is not running. However, in some strange way it makes me appreciate how fun it is even more when it is. I'm not saying that I like the downtime, but I think the ride is so much fun that I'm willing to put up with it. That's just my two-cents.
I'm gonna twist ya, and I'm gonna flip ya. Every time you squeal, I'm just gonna go faster and harder.
I got Deja Vu twice today, and the first time I got on, we (Tom and Dave was in front of me) got stuck leaving the station. After I told them that the ride always breaks down when I get off, the ride breaks down. They told us that someone unlocked their seatbelt, but the trolley that lifts us up left without the train, so we got stuck partially up the lift, then the train was released and we swung back and forth for 5 minutes. It was fun, and quite comfortable in the seats in the shade.
