We just got our deluxe dining passes since we'll be going MULTIPLE times this year (and hopefully on some extra weekends permitting we find a carpool.)
Apparently they will be selling a green sports bottle that will be refills everytime you visit the park for $20 dollars. They're already selling it at Magic Mountain and a couple other parks. They replied to me on Twitter that the WOULD be selling it at Great America.
I can't wait. I will probably be wearing either my Beast Kings Island Shirt, My Banshee shirt or my Goliath shirt and will probably be wearing either my Six Flags sweatpants, Walking dead pj pants or zombie pants. If you guys see me, please say hello. I'm a very friendly person.
I just hope Hometown isn't a mess again like it was in 2013. But from what I've seen they didn't look too far into construction so, hoping they can pull it together quickly.
With opening weekend tickets at $19.76, it says you can upgrade to a season pass in the park for $29.99. That is under $50 for a season pass. This seems too good of a deal to pass up. Can you enter the park and then upgrade at some random time inside? Is everyone else going to be doing this and will the line to get a season pass be massive?
How are crowds in general opening weekend, namely Sunday. If I stick to the 48 inch height requirement rides are we talking 15 minute waits or an hour?
What I plan on doing is buying 4 passes (to get the parking pass) to give three of them to my friends. Can I do this? Can I buy 4 passes then give the other 3 to my friends?
Should be able to, it's easy to do online, but you have to put their names in for each pass holder. If you purchase at the park they may have to be present. But make sure this is correct and call six flags directly.
The Weather Channel's 10 day outlook on Gurnee is a High of 65, 10% chance of rain. But it is still 10 days away. Who knows? It very well may change to high of 73.
If you purchase at the park, it's no prob, you don't need names or anything, you hand over the cash and they give you 4 season pass vouchers, no names or anything

Or do what it did as of this morning and change it to 66 with morning showers.

Interesting! That's not what they told me when I called them. Perhaps the info they gave me was wrong.
or I guess it could be different this year, but gotten them at the park every year and they always just hand over 4 "vouchers" printed on receipt paper. Half the time only one or 2 people will go to the park to buy em all, then mail the other people their vouchers.

Going to the park tomorrow, it looks like a perfect day! 44 Degrees high, 80% chance of rain, and 30 MPH wind gusts
In all seriousness it could be worse... I mean I have ridden Raging Bull in the hail and Viper in a very small snow shower. I like going on days like these though as it scares away the lines (if they ever open that is! )
1 week left as of right now! I keep drawing coasters in all of my classes for some reason. I'm not learning much over this coaster fever. Hoping to catch the first ride on Viper or Raging Bull!
