If in fact KC is going, you'd think they'd be able to run it through the remainder of the season (I do believe it's a portable model). I'm surprised it has made it as long as it did. One would think that the park knew exactly what they were getting into when it was purchased...

You'd have thought the same about Orbit last year, especially considering how slowly the Lobster is coming along...
I just saw shared to the ACE Facebook page that KC is done on 8/27. No source so grain of salt and all that. But ditching KC plus the currently unused pads for Sky Trail and Trailblazer gives some possibility to a flat pack rumor. And man do we need it.
Unless you count the kiddie rides (2015 + 2007), then yes, King Chaos and Revolution were our latest thrilling flat ride additions. 13 years ago... Yeah, we're due for some new flats...
^ wow, I have never realized that. I have been thinking HH is due for an addition more and more every year but if it has been 13 years since a thrilling flat then its definitely time.

At this point, I feel pretty confident that the only new thing is in the KC spot. There have been two teasers and they both we're basically just pictures of KC. If hey were doing multiple things, I'd think they'd show the multiple places.
Additionally, I'm about 99% sure that whatever is happening in the TrailBlazer spot is for Fright Fest. Six Flags simply doesn't ever start things this early (with obvious exceptions for a huge coaster or RMC or something).

I think you are right, the TrailBlazer work started at the same time as the rest of the Fright Fest work in Southwest Territory. Hopefully we get a second flat along with the King Chaos replacement to finish off the Mardi Gras area.
Edit: The more I look at it, we could be getting a similar flat package to what Fiesta Texas received for 2016. -Fireball, Larson Superloop replaces Ride Information Center and leftover JWR land. -Hurricane Force 5, Zamperla Mega Disk'O 40 Seat version replaces King Chaos -Spinsanity, Larson Tilt-A-Whirl Maybe they could move Big Easy Balloons to the Skytrail spot or put the Tilt-A-Whirl there.
I want to make this question clear and have you all ask yourselves "Since when does Six Flags start construction this early?"
Honestly, even if trailblazer's old spot is involved what they're doing now doesn't have anything to do with 2018. I'm betting they needed more room for the fright fest attraction in that area.

A little off topic, but SFOG (for some reason) has their 2018 Dining Pass Flash Sale page up (I'm guessing it;s a mistake, it doesn't seem to work). Nothing especially notable about it, except that it's basically the same as what they did last (although I don't know if the price changed at all), so it helps confirm that Six Flags will pretty much be doing what they've been doing...
Wouldn't be surprised to see another teaser tomorrow (Assuming they're being put out weekly). Maybe next week's teaser will show King Chao's entrance with the "This ride is not open" sign since it'd be the day after it's rumored to close.

There were two last week, on Monday and Friday.
I hope whatever they do next is more than just a picture of King Chaos with an umbrella or something.
True but the Friday one didn't really add any substance.
I agree though, hoping to see some more detailed teasers and not just a picture of King Chaos and it's scenery captioned #ChaseTheStorm2018. Maybe something about the new ride itself
