Over Texas is hauling. I'd say our park & New England are on par with one another in terms of we were are. We've both deconstructed attractions to make room & done minimal ground work.

from an Instagram pic a saw new England has some footers already.
Can confirm- New Concrete has been poured under the bridge, markings for probable footers are on pad, and more gravel is being pushed against the old RC queue.
In other news, Orbit is slowly being dissembled, with the arm beginning to come apart. Everything from Six Saints Cemetery is gone, but ERC is still there, which does seem counter-intuitive if they're putting the ride up before winter(I'd assume they'd put it back stage for the winter, giving it a full revamp before assembling it?).
Getting more and more excited for this as time goes on. Can't wait to ride this!
I'm not as excited as I was September 1st, but I'm still looking forward to it. The placement smack in the middle of the path still kind of bugs me. As Cam stated in another thread, it'll just look like a huge wall.
Does anyone know when more details will be announced? (No Coaster Con, I assume?)
I was really hoping we would get some nice new graphics/renderings. The simple ones we have now are very ...digital looking. Goliath had new ones released later on in the winter but that was due to a change in the design we previously saw. So they prob won't do it for Joker. But we have the real things to look forward to I suppose right?

I doubt it'll look great, that bridge will now be a concrete slab surrounded by blacktop. I doubt it'll be all that appealing. I really wish SFGAm would take a year to skip any new attraction and just improve park scenery. Look how they butchered Hometown the passed few years.

As someone who just started recently going back to the park after a 15 year hiatus, I couldn't agree with you more. It's amazing how much of the park has become asphalt and peeling paint.

It seemed like maybe they were going to do this in 2015 when they said they were going to "completely refresh" Hometown Square (or something to that affect) and then they did almost nothing. Alas.

How has the park become asphalt the only new asphalt area added in the last 15 years was for metropolis plaza and still that is mostly concrete.

Curious about this. Any links to the original design?
