CHANG WATCH: The Official Topic

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I was at Six Flags tonight, and as I was walking off of Superman, I saw what looked to be a lone support on an open flatbed. Keep in mind that it was dark, so I don't know for sure what it was, but I just want people to figure out what it is on their next visit this weekend. The picture I took if from my phone, and it's not clear at all because of the darkness, but this is what I saw. Again, I'm not making any assumptions because I am not sure, but I'm sure somebody can tell us what's up.

I suggest you save it to make it smaller, so you can see the shadows of what I saw.

I saw that also tonight, though the ends of pipe had no flanges or anything support like on them. I think that's a section of drainpipe in preparation for some off season work possibly on a storm drain in the area or something.

We will not see any Chang parts till at least late ron in the 2010 season as I am sure it will get a paint job. Probably easier to do that before they put it back together.

yeah, the parts will show up wherever they are going, then they will be painted. That way stuff doesn't get damaged in transport. This is especially true for Chang which is notorious for not being able to hold paint for some reason. It was peeling on it's media day, then was repainted to Medusa colors and immediately started peeling that paint. Even the final yellow/blue paint job was starting to look shady in short order, though it was more fading rather than the paint actually coming off, which would tend to show the final paint job was done with low quality paints.

I was at the park tonight and saw a ton of green lantern stuff in the shops. Sorta a big jump, but assuming Chang does come to Great America, the merchandise may have some indication as to the theme. From what I saw tonight it looks like green lantern.

Makes sense since this stuff gets planned way in advance and they want to get the word out before officially announcing it

I saw a truck with the trains from CHANG driving into the employee entrance. This was about 10 PM NOV 1st. I'm going to guess they are for Iron Wolf's track.

^well if we was in the EMPLOYEE parking lot....he could be an employee. And employees were in the park till well after 10 doing some initial work getting the park ready for the winter, and then processing out for the season.

The trains have been there since the beginning of October. They did not just come in last night.

Used to work there and have friends who still work there. It doesn't require rocket science to realize the employees don't just disappear right at park closing time, there is stuff to be done after the park closes.

Isn't it obvious? They were able to time it perfectly to get the ride to SFGAm right when the park closed because it was at the temporary storage site in Galvan's backyard.

Trains not ride though still skeptical as nothing has been announced just the parade and if Wolf does get new trains they would announce it earlier to get more people to ride it in 2010. Conference call had us getting one thing and they wouldn't just skip a major overhaul of a ride like Wolf.

Why is it so hard to believe that the trains from Chang arrived on the last day of the season? I know what I saw. I was debating to stop my car and take a picture. I would have, had I known people wouldn't believe me. I figured that everyone already knew about it.

As for Green Lantern in the shops, it's very possible. When Superman came, I started seeing Superman t-shirts the year before.

The thing however though is that Green Lantern just had a movie out this year! This was the first time I think that through tv or movies that Green Lantern is alone. He's always with other people like Justice League. Okay, maybe he had his own comic book, but I don't know about that. You also have the Sinestro at the park this year, and people wondered why is he there? Is it because of that movie that came out this year, or is it because of a new ride in 2 years?

Hold the phone, there is supposed a Green Lantern movie in 2011!! I'm guessing live action.

What's the point of having Sky Trek Tower red, white, and blue? Okay, so it's American, but yet isn't there another character that has those colors!! Yes, what I'm thinking about is maybe a WONDER WOMAN ride.

Guess what? A movie for Wonder Woman (Live - Action) is coming also in 2011.

I have seen Wonder Woman out this year!! When I went in 2010, I didn't see her at all. Maybe, other people saw her, but I didn't. Is that why she's back to our park?

Or are they going to make a whole Justice League area? Because guess what again...

To me, it seems like DC finally wants to capitalize on their most popular characters after Marvel has Spider-Man, Hulk, Iron Man, and X-Men movies. DC for the longest time just had Superman, and Batman.

This is the most plausible thing out of this post.

COME RIDE WONDER WOMAN'S OBSERVATION TOWER!
Yeah no.

This too makes sense, but everything is so spread out in the park already. Concentrating it into one area would just make anything outside of it look extremely stupid and out of place. [/quote]

First off, Green Lantern and Wonder Woman are definitely not their most popular characters. Flash ranks high above these two in my opinion.
Next, the Green Lantern animated movie got very little, if any publicity. Any rental stores around here got one rental copy and one retail. Retail stores like Walmart/Target/Best Buy got five copies to sell if they were lucky.
Finally, yes it adds up. Green Lantern is supposedly coming out in 2011 (a projected date keep in mind) and it lines up with the year Chang would come. That's all that makes sense.

But Wonder Woman's Pole?
Uh...

I meant 2008 not seeing Wonder Woman, but seeing her in 2009.

The cabin being the Invisible Jet. I don't know. It's white isn't it?
