Seeing American Eagle finally getting the paint job it needs and deserves makes me so happy. Now that the Eagle (and the Demon) have gotten these new paint upgrades, it really puts an end to my fears regarding the futures of these two rides.
How does repainting a ride mean it's safe to stay? Thunder Road got major track work just for it all to come falling down. Finally I haven't seen anything back by Superman sitting in the lot since Superman got it's Coke Stand. The supports obviously don't fit that theory but I doubt it's an attraction at this point.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

Paint doesn't mean a ride is safe to stay forever, but I think it does mean that, at least as of right now, they have no plans to remove the ride in the next few years. Plans can change, obviously, so it's nothing you would ever want to bet your life on, but it's a good sign for people who want those rides to stay.

I would have to agree with that. From the videos I've watched this year so far, it sounds like they are playing it all over the park. I have no idea why they decided to go that direction, or who is behind it, but that takes the theme out of every section.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
Last time I was there, they were playing country/western music in SWT. I guess now that all the other areas are essentially devoid of a uniform theme, the park wants to keep their last themed area as themed(?) as possible. It's probably why JL has its own area.

It sounds like Shapiro all over again. At least Southwest will have somewhat of a theme with the country music. Forget about all the other sections. I'm sure Yukon's is gone too because that was my favorite.

^I can see a little Hometown influence in it, which is a nice touch. I just wish it wasn't blocking the Whizzer so much. I'm curious to see what the sign will look like, though.
I hate the coke stands. Now I'm not saying have no drinks in the park so don't get your panties in a bunch I'm just saying stay authentic and not generic; ok we know its coke doesn't have to be plastered everywhere. I don't see why they couldn't put in buildings to match the sections they would have been around the same cost. Also tried strutters opening weekend food was very good, but did they have to turn it into a sports bar? I don't like the idea of having all that alcohol all over the park. Again could have just rennovated and kept the original themeing. Those air conditioners are going to be burning out left and right because those windows have no glass in them. They could of put in the tvs on the patio and have it convertible from open air to indoor dining which in our climate would have been a much smarter idea.

I agree about the Coke stands, but the new ones are at least a little better than the ones they had last year. Strutter's is necessary to shorten the lines at JB's, and alcoholic drinks must stay at the location at which they were purchased, so alcohol is not all over the park. The convertible idea isn't a bad idea, although the outdoor TVs would further deteriorate the theme.

I think the reason for these new stands is because the lines for drinks and snacks is too long. So they add these new Coke stands. The reason they are Coke themed is most likely because they are getting these stands for little or no cost from Coke.
