Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

^I don't always think of that spot for a 3 train or not type of thing even though yes, that's mostly what it is for, but I see it more as a we can send a train out once it gets past that point. They probably were going to do it, but most likely the park saw how long it takes to load one train, and figured that it wouldn't help anything at all. Our park with that on Whizzer with 2 trains, won't send the other train out when it hits "the spot", and to me it just seems why wait. For 3 trains, they send it out, but with 2 trains, they don't. It bugs me, and I understand the reason why, but I hate the reason why and to me the longer a train spends in the station when it doesn't have to, the more the line is going to build up.

Batman the Ride doesn't have a spot like that, and Superman's is way after the entire course (the brakes before the turn).

No, nothing new to report in the SSA spot. There have been although, according to screamscape survey workers spotted in the SWF area.

^There was a trim brake there I think....or there were plans for one, but it was never implemented.

"The spot" = Dispatch Interval

As for having the train in the station, I wouldn't say that always dictates what the line's wait will be. Take Whizzer with 2 trains: even if you could dispatch like you would with 3 trains without the ride setting up, then you would still have to wait to advance the train in the station. Doing so would give the operators even less time on the next cycle to send the train before the ride stacks.

I'm actually surprised no one asked about demons so-called fail car.

http://www.coaster101.com/2010/07/22/tr ... ca-part-1/

Shown here you can see that train #2 is still stopped slightly on the midway. The guy that made this trip report obviously wasn't aware that with three trains, it's supposed to stop there. Just thought I'd cover that....and post the fail of a person claiming demon fails.

Mantis and Riddler's are the only 2 stand-ups that were purchased with 3 trains....and I'm wondering if SFMM still uses all 3 trains in operation at any given time during the season? Obviously, CP found out how useless 3 were.....which makes me wonder about Chang and that being the reasoning behind why they only opted for 2 trains.

I assume SFMM just uses 2 at any given time and the 3rd would be swapped out for rehab when one of the other 2 needed it.

Last I heard Riddlers 3'rd train has recently left the park. I doubt it has run 3 in quite some time, at least since seatbelts were added.

Actually, from what I heard, Riddler running three trains was quite a common occurrence on weekends. Yes, I have also heard that Riddler lost a train, possibly for cannibalization, or possibly for Chang.

Boo to Magic Mountain. If Riddler's 3rd train is completely gone, I don't agree with that. There is no reason Magic Mountain should only have 2 trains for a ride when they are almost open all year. Even if you don't run all 3 at a time, you refurbish a train at a time while always running 2 trains.

If the train isn't being cannibalized, I am almost positive it will re-appear on Chang, wherever Chang ends up.

Actually Trailblazer might be in storage, but Hay Baler was definitely scrapped except for a few cars used as fright fest themeing.

Guess you didn't see my previous post. You can actually see it from Bull.

You can CLEARLY see Trailblazer rusting (or at least the base) from The Demon's queue and from the lift turn around.

^I was referring to the pieces in storage, not the spine. The Spine, Building and even the queues can be seen from Demon/Bull/Drop.

been meaning to ask this before. Did anyone notice Revolution going higher and faster than in 2009? Been on it twice this season and I swear it is much more fun than last year.

I also noticed the same thing, but I haven't felt that it goes as high after the maintenance.

Perhaps it was running the more intense Fright Fest cycle?
