Great America, you frustrate me these days...

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

So, because it's difficult for you to use the coupons, they should stop distributing them? That doesn't make much sense to me. Some people can use them, the world doesn't revolve around you. You made it sound like you were speaking that way. But, if they are distributing them, and all dates on it have passed, then they should stop. Nobody likes expired coupons.

Pretty much all coupons I have seen have an expiration date. I am not just referring to SFGAm coupons but all coupons for all businesses.Example: I just received a coupon for $10 off an oil change at LubePros. Thats a pretty good deal. Only problem is, I just had my car's oil changed about 3 weeks ago. This coupon expires at the end of this month(June). Basically when its time for my car to have its oil changed again, this coupon will be invalid. Should I complain? Not hardly. Its the way businesses operate.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Chitown,Again, I never said that it shouldn't have an expiration date. What I did ask is, "why would they have the limited days that the coupon applies"?I still haven't gotten a valid answer to this. Trying to explain this off by saying coupons usually expire or that it is smart business doesn't cut it. This isn't an issue of expiration. It is an issue of the limited days they have on the coupons.Smart business? Hardly. It's deceptive for the most part. Expiration is fine (as I stated before); why oh why would they have expiration of that deal so early and have limited days that it applies?I don't mean to take so much issue with this...I'm merely responding to these emails of those miscontruing what I'm saying. Please read my post carefully before responding. I just wanted a simple question answered concerning the limited daysthanks guys for your imput!

O.K. Since expiration is not an issue with you, I will focus on the limited days. From what I remember, because I have seen these Speedway coupons in past years, the dates that they are valid are usually low-crowd days at the park (based on an average over time).Basically, these coupons are in hopes to get more people through the gates on these dates that otherwise wouldnt visit the park. That my friend IS SMART BUSINESS.During July and August the park is for the most part packed. Why bother giving "buy one- get one free" coupons during this time frame? They already get the appropriate crowds without offering these savings.I hope this clears up what you are trying to find out. I know you will be frustrated no matter what, but maybe now you can see it from their side(the park).

Thanks Chitown, finally the first thought out answer. That answer makes sense and no, I won't be mad no matter what. I've been going to the park for years....much longer than most people on this board. I used to get passes on an annual basis. GA will always hold a special place in my heart and I will always hold it in sentimental memories.I plan on going there soon. I no longer have the funds to purchase a pass (though I wish I did). I owe, as I said, about 10,000 every four months in accumulating funds to the government. This upsets me, naturally. I just was excited this year to get the Speedway deal and take my cousin and my girlfriend to the park. Now, it's not as easy, as, upon getting that coupon, I saw how limited that it was.Smart business is filling the park on 'down days'. Smarter business is keeping guests happy which is their theory above and beyond anything else (they preached this continuously and nauseatingly when I worked there). So, that leaves me witht he coke can deal. I hope that I can find the ones with the 10 dollars off deathanks for the responses though

The coke can deals aren't hard to find at all. Find a vending machine, most will have it...and im sure any gas stations will have the most current coke cans.

u know what. I am rather dis-pleased with the State of the park this year. The prices have sky-rocketed on everything and the employees have no pride or heart.(well the masses of them at least) I was in line for S:UF and it was late in the day like 8:45 and the line was only to The Parasite sign. These 8 teenagers decided it would be good to line jump us and they did it right in front of the security gaurds! The gaurds did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL! I was furious. Then to top it off the crew running S:UF that night were the absolute worst crew i have ever had. they took a amazing 7 mintes to dispatch ONE TRAIN. And you know what the delay was. FLIRTING. Sometimes the stupidity of ride ops can be amazing. Also another thing that angers me is how the have this perferred parking crap. It seems that in the past few years Six Flags parks in general have been only thinking of ways to enhance your park expirence while screwing the GP over completely. Don't get me wrong i love the park and there are some pretty good ride ops and employees (props to the most kicking supervisor ever Jack on S:UF) but the overall expirence at great america has become sub-par. Anyway gotta love the park seeing as every other big amusement parks is 8 hours in any direction.
well ok if you think you are ready ASSUME THE POSITION!The flying position that isSuperman:Ultimate Flight
