How was it?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Absolutely awesome opening day! The wind was cold, but I was really happy to see all the rides open except for King Chaos, IMS, and Condor.
Got my first rides on Ragin' Cajun, as well as spending 10 minutes stuck on Revolution in the morning. My totals:

Raging Bull: 4
Viper: 4
Demon: 1
Deja Vu: 1
Whizzer: 2
American Eagle: 1
Iron Wolf: 1
Batman: 4
V2: 4
Superman: 4
Ragin Cajun: 2

As well as 3 rides on Revolution, 2 on Hometown Fun Machine, 2 on Triple Play, and 1 on Orbit, Scenic Railroad, Sky Trek Tower, Whirligig, East River Crawler, Fiddlers Fling, Jester's Wild Ride, Rue Le Dodge, and River Rocker.
I also noticed that Spacely's got a paint job, it looks really good!
Finally Coaster Season!!

other than what everyone else already mentioned.
it was REALLY REALLY dead.

I got on raging bull ten times in a row yesterday, without having to get off at all.
same with vu, superman, batman, etc...

it seemed like everytime I got in a line for something though...it broke.
it happened to me twice on vu yesterday. once on ae. v2. revolution. etc...

I also noticed the shockwave remains are gone. anyone know what happened to them?

other than that...lots of nice improvements to the park.

LOL. I know that feeling, but it felt like everytime I got in line for a coaster, it would start to rain. I was next in line for RB, when the hail came down. I felt sorry for the people who had to ride it through the hail. Overall, without the cold wind, and the rain, it was a great trip. I like the way the ride ops are more into it. The RB ride-op who was joking around with the riders on the train that was coming back from their trip through the hail storm, to the V2 girl who wanted everybody to scream "E" as the went through the station each time (that same ride op then asked me if she could have the empty seat next to me).

Coaster chick what time was that?? The most that I got in was 2 times on Giant Drop in row. The rest of the rides even if there were no lines they made everyone get off and come back up the line.

That would be me. Me and my nephew were on our way up the lift for Raging Bull when it started hailing. Man that hurt. Everyone in the pictures was covering their faces.. it was pretty funny after we got off. Defnitley not while we were on!!

Both days were great, I got 81 rides in between the 2 days, and Sunday I had to leave early. I am the winner of the race to Deja Vu.

what time was that? Any time after like 2:00. At around 7:00 I saw a few trains go with no one in raging bulls front row. And I was on Raging bull many times starting at like 7:10 and they never made me get off.

my ten rides on rb was between like 5-6 I think.
almost everyone stayed on except for front row and back row. because NOBODY was in the station.

the hail was awful...it started right after I got off rb earlier that day. ack.

Oh! I so predicted tornado. In an old recreation of SFGAm on RCT, I built a rough HH, and I put a tornado there just for fun like a month ago. Wow, I'm good.

(Okay, sorry, that was a wasteful post)
