S:UF - your first impression?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

i totally disagree w/ alot of you smuf is a great ride (only in the last row)
the pretzel loop is worth the wait alone, i think we are just to spoiled at our park to wait for a thrill like superman when we all know a 3 minute walk can get us to raging bull, de ja vu, batman etc. which are better thrills but me personally i go to great america about 15-20 times a season and i always begin my day w/ superman and end it w/ batman.

I think that S:UF's a good ride, not my favorite, but i still like to ride it everytime i go to SFGAm. Its usally not my first ride of the day, but i still will ride it once or twice. it usally depends on the wait time and how many trains are operating.
Next SFGAm trip: heck I know...

Yes, Superman is a great ride in the back row, but the rest is only fun. It's not like I don't wait over an hour for it, I do. I do enjoy my ride, it's just not Amazing.

When I first saw one of these flyer coasters on t.v. I was dying to ride one. And I was really excited when I found out sfgam was getting one.

My first ride I was amazed. I thought the whole ride of superman was great. And of course the pretzel loop was the best part.

The first time I was waiting in line for it, it actually wasn't that bad. Even though it was superman's first year the line still moved pretty fast. But of course that was just for this day.

This is amazing. Why would anyone ride a ride if it becomes boring? Is it a need just because it's a rollercoaster?

I think the whole ride of SUF is great, and thus I should ride it. If there's a rollercoaster, that is boring, I won't go on it. In my opinion, at SFGAm, there are some rollercoasters that fit into that category. However, SUF is not one of them.

I think what's even funnier is that I thought Shockwave was boring. In my opinion, it was just loop after loop after loop. For everyone that love tons and tons of inversions, I suggest the Ring of Fire / Fireball or the Kamikaze to you.

What seems silly is that the ride cameras are next to the most challenging elements of the ride, like it is on the pretzel loop. But then again, it isn't always by where the real action is.

Shockwave's camera was by their pretzel loop.

American Eagle used to have one after the last bunny hop.

Raging Bull's is before the last set of elements.

Tower of Terror - on the '13th floor'.

I like the Superman ride because of the way the seats tilt upward. What I don't like about it is its lack of elements after the highlight of the ride: the loop. It's a good ride, but perhaps if it stood over where Whizzer currently sits and they moved it to Yukon Territory or County Fair and kept Shockwave where it was it would've been a different story.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

True, Superman would have been an even better ride in Whizzer's location. I think it worked out for the better and promoted circulation with Superman in Shockwaves spot instead.

Don't even talk about losing whizzer.

The thing that kept me on S:Uf was that it really felt like you were flying, the seats are downright comfy, and the Pretzel was awesome.

I really like the seats and restraints also. Too bad they couldn't have restraints like those on Iron Wolf and Demon. :P
Finally Coaster Season!!

And Batman used to have one in between the zero-G roll and the second loop, and Viper's is at the bottom of a hill after the second left-hand turn.
