I saw the jug-o-jugglers for the first time this year ('05) and I watched three of their shows in one day! They're amazing. I even got to go on stage with them as a volunteer. I know the one in blue was named David ( ::swoon:: ) and I think Brian was also still there, but I'm not sure. they were so good! I'm seeing them again tomorrow and when they come back in August! <3 Does anyone know how old they are and where they got their start? Actually, if you know anything about them at all, please let me know

How can I find out more about them? Do you know where they're going during the month or so that they're not performing at Great America? Would it be too weird to talk to them after one of their shows? They're so talented!
No it wouldn't be weird... I haven't talked to any of them this year after shows but last year I did many times. They were awesome and I'm sure they are this year too There are a few fellow posters on here (all girls I think Imagine that!) that also talk to them. Go for it!!
Yeah, so I'm totally enamored with David. I saw them perform again today, but I was with my mom and my brother and they didn't want to stick around afterwards for very long to let me talk. I talked a little with Brian and he's really nice. I really want to talk with David (and I want to know how old he is) so I'm going back on monday, or as soon as I can, to see them. I didn't know that each show is a little different. I think I like the 3:00 one the best, but I haven't seen the 4:30 or 5:30 yet. (wow, I'm so glad there's some palce I can talk freely about them... my friends all think I'm crazy!)
Wow, I knew it would come to this, I started this thread to talk about the juggling, but now that the jug o'jugglers are all guys again, its all these random girls swooning over the jugglers.
Yes, Brian, Tobin, and David are really nice, they're jugglers, no juggler is really mean, they may act like it, but really they're not. (ex. Freak the clown)
They will talk to you, yes. They like to talk. They will also juggle with you if you can juggle, thats how I learned to pass clubs. (they are called clubs, not pins, at least in america) Brian is the one that has been with the Jug'O name for a while, the other two seem to switch off each year.
I saw all three of them at Toss Up: 2005 juggling festival a few weekends ago. They seemed to be enjoying themselves.
Its nice to know I'm not the only one that watches shows more than once in one day... I just wish they were working weekends so I could actually watch.
What you don't understand you can make mean anything.
They are incredibly talented. It's amazing to watch. Do you know if they perform anywhere else during the summer? I'd really like to see them do more stuff.
Yeti were you there yesterday?? I was looking for you in the crowd but I didn't see ya. Uh Oh me and you started the swooning.. what have we created
I must say that I feel privledged... yesterday at the 5:30 show they had a girl onstage that was throwing the clubs to Tobin who was standing directly in front of me and this girl couldn't throw worth CRAP! So she way over throws and the next thing you know I'm getting knocked in the forehead with the club!! I just laughed it didn't hurt. Well Brian (who has seen me there for the past 4 years watching the Jug 'O Jugglers) looks at me and mouths "You OK??" I was fine but then he said to the girl "OK you NEED to throw better then that.. you are hurting people" or something to the effect. All I could do was laugh.. I felt so bad for her
I saw them for the first time yesterday (I just basically watched shows the whole day) and I was so impressed! I watched 3 PM and 430PM and I actually went up on stage at the 430 show. They are incredibally talented and I enjoyed their show more than anything (yeah, even more than LAFF) I've ever seen at 6 flags. They even gave me the mic while they were throwing clubs 2 inches past my head which was a great time.

Today was awesome. I was in the park from about noon until 7:00 and I got to see most of their shows. During one of them, Brian borrowed my shoe to balance on his nose, and when he gave it back to me, he shook my hand and then dragegd me over the rope and onto the stage. It was halarious because I was totally not expecting it. Later, when he was going to balance the chair on his chin, he pretended to be really wiped out and walked up to me and chugged some of my lemonade. I felt a little bad because all I had left in the cup was ice, but it was still really funny. I talked with David after their last show and he's really very nice (and very cute, I might add.) They're all really friendly and are totally cool with talking to people after their shows. They have made me want to take up juggling

And you really should. Juggling is really good for you. It relieves stress, impresses people, and there are studies out that learning to juggle makes your brain more receptive.
Maybe there are other factors at hand, and there are, but after I learned to juggle I found it easier to pay attention in school. I also found I was more confident in dealing with new situations. As an added bonus, I've been loosing weight. Although I'm pretty sure the Dance Dance Revolution is the key factor in that last one.
The Juggling community is the only one wherein I can honestly say I've not met any baddies (well, at least not ones that weren't under the influence). Everyone is really nice and perfectly willing to play. You want to pass? No problem! Need help with chops? You got it! The real oddballs are juggling odd numbers of balls (even numbers too, but usually its an odd number), but they are the good kind of odd
Unlike the magician community, which is where I started, juggling is not a big secret. I was turned off from Magic because it was all about "the illusion" and how you needed to manipulate how the audience thought. Yes, this has led me to have some pretty good skills in the ways of getting out of trouble with the school, but I hated having little kids coming up wanting to know how a trick is done. With juggling I'd be perfectly content in trying to teach them how. Heck, if any of you all want to learn to juggle, I'll teach you. Just meet up with me at six flags and we'll bombard some unlucky game worker.

I tried but I just can't... I guess I do not have very good coordination or something. Then again I didn't have any to help me. Yeti do you tutor?? How much you charge?? With my fiance going back to school I could really use a hobby!!
Ever since I was a wee little tot going to the circus with my parents I have always loved juggling. It's memorizing to watch. When I really tried to learn (this was last year) I was so disappointed in myself because I just couldn't do it!! Anyone that can defnitley has my admiration because I know how hard it is and how much concentration it takes!!
Klutz is a good source for learning things, but if you've tried a thousand times and still can't get it then its definately time to find someone to help. The internet has a few good ones too. Only a few though, all the rest are really bad and confuzing even to those of us that know what we're doing. Do a typical google search for "learn to juggle" or "juggle animations" and you should find something helpful.

I've not got as many chances to go to the park as I've been wanting to this year. I know the Jug'o jugglers were working weekdays, but are they still? It seems like ages since I've gotten to see them perform. Anyone know if/when they're moving to weekends?

Welcome to the forums Juggler, but you're gonna have to follow a few rules.
For one, don't double post, that is, posting two straight posts inthe same thread. It's a waste of bandwidth and it's frowned upon at sfgamworld.
Secondly, you dont have to make a new post if you messed up your first. Just click the edit button in the top right corner of your post and that should let you edit it.
Welcome!
