As technology advances, Deja Vu's reliability will eventually get up to the point where its oepn everyday, with no problems except in the rain. Vekoma designed this thing as a prototype, and they are probably still discovering problems they never knew that would come out of the GIB's. Look, im ok with all its problems as long as there not fixing it with ductape and scissors.
Will SFGAm still want another Vekoma ride though? I can't believe they would. Because of the unreliability that D Vu has produced, they probably would rather buy a B&M instead. You can look at the B&Ms in the park and you can see the popularity still stands, but they are more reliable.
I'm not going to say that I've ridden every Vekoma rollercoaster because I have not (a very small portion). The two other ones were Ninja, and T2. D Vu is superior to these two. Those two don't impress me at all.
Also, I ask if you guys (or girls of course) would know of any Zamperla rides that would be good for the park.

WIll Cedar Point ever buy another Intamin ride? Probably. I dont think one ride is gunna kill a company's reputation. It could, but I dont find it likely.

How nice, that'll never happen, with ANY ride. And Vu's reliability will never get up to decent standards, it will always have the regular little downtimes that plague it during it's operation, and theres nothing they can do but fix the extended downtimes it's been having ALL THE TIME since it was built (over a week, hell, it's in one now).
I don't defend Vekoma at all. I will defend D Vu with all my strength however.
Is there any other Vekoma rollercoaster (in your opinon) besides D Vu and Spacely's that you would suggest to get? If so, how is the breakdown factor on that rc?
I ask again, are there any Zamperla rides that would be perfect for the park?

S:UF and Cajun's reliability has greatly improved since they opened, Vu is 2 years older and is still a pos.
Also there are much more complex rides out there that work a lot better (like Test Track for example).
Mechanically Deja Vu is way more complex than test track. Yes Test Track may have more computing power to run it, but still its basically a electric motor pushing a car on 20 some wheels around a course. Even still TT still has quite a bit of downtime.
Yeah, there is a lot to Deja Vu. There is so much that has to be working correctly. Think about how those catchers have to be working right, the lifting system, etc. Obviously it's going to have some problems. That doesn't make it a bad ride.
All the engines and gears were refurbished, the Gondolas were repainted, gondola arms were replaced and the electrical system was adapted to the latest standards.
Does that meen that they just cleaned the motors and gears or they bought new ones?
