a B&M dive machine is a short type of a coaster ..... there is a steep drop,a banked turn , and yes of coarse .. a breaking point..... but the seating arrangments are ackward.... it consists of 8-cross seating with at least 2 cars per train
Yeah me either, that drop doesn't look that good. Heck you can ride TTD and get the speed, you don't need to wait just to get a drop. I think that ride could be potentially boring. Good luck hoping for a floorless. They are pretty sweet - I don't know why you wouldn't get one. The space factor is about the only reason. SFGAdv has the invert and the floorless.

This site says D Vu has 6 inversions and rcdb.com says it has three. You have to remember Shockwave had seven inversions and it was taken out. So, SFGAm has 2 (SUF and IW), 3 or 6 on D Vu, 4 (Demon), and 5 (BTR). Inversions aren't everything. A quality coaster with "enough" inversions is good for me.
Boring you say it would be.^ It is 180 feet on the drop. RB is 208 and BTR is only a 100 feet. I don't see how a drop that goes straight down would be boring.

I could definitely see us getting a floorless sometime. I'm not expecting one real soon, like next season or anything...but I can see one coming sometime. I know they'd be able to find a place for it. If it were custom they'd be able to fit it better too, so that would be nice.
Yeah I'm still shocked that SFO got one back in the day. Hope for a custom one - they are sweet. If they build one, I sure hope it doesn't turn out anything like B:DK. That ride is so incredibly short - I would rather have a clone of Medusa over that any day. Where would they build next if SFGAm had to? Are we going to have parking lot coasters?
I think if SFGAm would get a floorless I think it would have to be custom...Considering the space limit we have. If they built a Scream/Medusa, it would probably have to be in the parking lot, egh.

CP doesnt have many inversions and its been voted worlds best parks a few times. Obviously inversions dont make a park.
Why is everybody so obssesed about getting a floorless? Yeah a floorless would be pretty cool but there are still other cool coasters out there and a Dive Machine isnt one of them. I have met people who have gone on oblivion and said it was a 1 trick pony. Now the one guy was from england and he said that it isnt one of the parks popular rides.
O and about Psyclone. It is one of the worst coasters I have ever been on. B&M did a horrible job with the trains. I think the main factor for the rough ride is that the trains are made of fiber glass but I really dont know. But what I do know is that its horrible. When I go back there I dont think Ill ride it but if I do it will only be once.
Parking lot coaster or not...it still would be good to have a floorless coaster.
Superman is a Parking lot coaster. Even though it now has grass and trees growing in it's surrondings...it still sits on top of a parking lot. Bull took up a part of the parking lot back too.
Why do we all care so much about a coaster being in the parking lot? Scream is also in the parking lot (Employee lot) to be exact. Is it taking away from that much of the ride just becuase you know that cars once parked there?

That makes no sense even though it has grass and trees its still a parking lot coaster . It is NOT a parking lot coaster. I see no parking lot around the area of the ride. Just because a parking lot used to reside where it is not doesn't mean it is a parking lot coaster. Scream! is a parking lot coaster because there IS parking lot completely and obviously visable. Shocwave was for the same reason also. S:UF is NOT because there is no more parking lot there.

Yeah, Scream is horrible in my opinion. I personally think the surrounding adds a lot to the ride. Twisting and turning above parking spaces does not appeal to me at all.
