There are also media days where you can rack up lots of rides, hundreds if you so desire. It really depends on what SFGAm has in mind, and the needs of the media. Also if they decide to do B-Roll and commercial stuff which is when people tend to rack up rides, generally there will be at least semi-assigned seating depending on what you're wearing and what you look like.
Basically, everyone who goes, I'd say expect a single ride on X-Flight and a whole lot of standing around doing nothing. Anything you get above and beyond that is a bonus and and should be treated as such.
And both kinds have happened at SFGAm, Superman I heard was a free for all riding session for the most part, while the media day I was at for Rajun Cajun/Mardi Gras, a very strict one ride limit was enforced on Cajun unless you could talk some media outlet into wanting you to ride on camera.
I understand all that. I've been to a media day that Indiana Beach had for lost coaster that turned out that A: we couldn't ride because the ride wasn't done and B: it was a nasty April day, C: it was really boring, alot of people said the hell with it and left right after the speech in the ballroom. So I'm not setting my expectations high. As long as I don't have someone being rude to me I won't have a problem!

I could see that for Cajun though being that it's only a 4 person car, and with the amount of people that would want to ride. I'm hoping for at least 2 rides, I mean over the course of 5 hours...I'm sure there will be at least a few cycles going. But either way, it will be fun to hangout in the park during the early hours in the morning.
When I did the ones at CP it was pretty much you just sat and rode for an hour or so while they got all their off ride footage with a few onrides. But then again, those were for Shoot the Sh!t and SindWeaker so they were a bit more low key.
Plus, with Cajun, didn't the park only have something ridiculous like 2 cars running for Media Day? (not that the 5 out of 9 that it currently runs isn't ridiculous)

I guess I am NOT part of 'Everyone' in this case. I am clear about the day and that I am there for a reason. What I was saying was... well, I already said it* I've been to media days (and ERTs since that was brought up) where certain riders acted like they were clueless and/or wouldn't move when someone came up to their seat (if changing seats was allowed at said media day, which it was in the cases I am thinking of.)

Can someone tell me when this Media Day starts? I want to tape the news. If it starts at 6 am, than why should I tape it at 4 am?

Me too..lol. I have a 67 mile drive. ARGH. It's worth it though. I wonder if they will let me wear my Six Flags coaster team hoodie? Going to try it.

Was a lot of fun. I'm back home, going to bed. I'm beat! Started to get nausea a few times. Mainly I blame that on not much sleep, McDonald's and WAY too much pop at the park
