My thing is this why not a big coaster?
it is so not true that big coasters only attract teens it draws many visitors if the job is done right, and the customers get a wonderful experience.
Think about some of the money they have wasted on a lot of the rides they have built and they really didn't amount too much of the hype!
I say give us one mega coaster we can actually can enjoy. I love raging bull I really do but we need something more than that too be honest.

We don't really need a HUGE coaster. I'd definitely take something like Maverick any day of the week! Raging Bull is our headliner and probably always will be for most people. I'd love to see a new coaster as much as the next guy. Just not a huge towering 300 foot beast. Especially in the situation Six Flags is in. Example...if you were broke, would you go out to eat at nice restaurants every day? No. So Why should Six Flags be buying huge coasters for these parks every year?
Have a take and don't suck, it's the Jim Rome Show!

We have not gotten a major ride and even speaking of Superman that wasn't completely skyline changing anyway with its boring layout. V2 and Deja Vu were our last real big attractions which changed the park for good and for bad. Superman is our first flyer but that is pretty much it for what it gave us. Hurricane Harbor was a huge addition too but that is not IN the park itself and you don't benefit unless you go to the water park regularly or even a few times a year. We need a change. Who said a coaster has to cost 25 million? Besides, I think we all would settle for a FLAT ride a long the lines of King Chaos or Revolution as long as it replaced SWF and SSA in the near future and wasn't advertised solely to families.

So a coaster that cost 15 million plus that is vastly popular and the first thing you see when coming in the main entrance was not a major addition? You know, just because you are not a fan, do not mean the ride was not a major addition. If you didn't love Vu over everything, maybe you would understand that Superman: Ultimate Flight is the number 1 or 2 coaster in the park to the general public, fighting with Raging Bull.

Hurricane Harbor was a huge addition too but that is not IN the park itself and you don't benefit unless you go to the water park regularly or even a few times a year.

It is part of the park. If it was not part of the park, it would be a separate gate. And everyone benefits because HH takes people away from the dry rides and helps lines.

While a new thrilling flat would be nice, families drive the park. If you can not get families in the park, there is no park. Plus the park doesn't have to change. They have a captive audience when it comes to theme parks in the Chicago area.

Yes the park does have to change as we all know it hasn't yet reached it's peak always something that needs work...2 areas deeply in need of something, rides that deserve a paint job/makeover & again I don't mean SUF was not a big addition it just did not do much in terms of ride quality or change the landscape like Raging Bull did. Boring layouts do that to any ride. So Superman was only 3-4 million more expensive than Terminator?
