^ I agree, thrills are the answer! Haha. It would sound a bit funny in the ads... "New for 2009... a ferris wheel! Loops around at great speeds! Take people to a new thrill! Only at Six Flags Great America!"
well some of the GP just go to the park because they have to watch their kids (my mom does) and they don't like thrill rides so they just go on the gentle rides like the railway and STT and im sure they would like a ferris wheel
and usually when new non-thrill rides come out, they are not advertised on TV, just on the parks website...
^ Yeah... I was just having fun with the ad... but we have wiggle's and everything.... I guess a new kid addition wouldnt hurt.. But I can tell that Six Flags is trying to determine their new attraction! When I went to the park, the lady saw I had a season pass in my hand. She came up asking how old the people with me are, including me, what type of rides I prefer, how many times ive been at the park. She told me that theyre doing this for an upcoming attraction! She has a PDA, so the data was being counted in a computer. Whatever comes next year is determined on the majority! But its not next year yet! We still have this season!
I think a dive machine would be great and obviously the park knows something major needs to go there. The area will not sit unused for 2 seasons. The thing that took up a lot of money and time was TDK this year as well as tearing down Deja Vu. Next year I see the park setting up a Dive Machine and getting rid of Space Shuttle America. Eventually I see a Hurricane Harbor expansion. Maybe 2010. 5 year anniversary.
^ Haha. I should.. Hmm.. I never noticed them doing those surveys till this year. I really have faith in our next attraction. I wouldn't mind if, instead, they rehad, theme and add effects to all the rides, such as repaint and rehab Wolf to exceeding standards, add some more demon themeing, along with adding more lights to the tunnel, and rebuilding that structure for the waterfall... as well as retheming rides and everything! I know.. it's a stupid idea... but it would be nice to see more behind the name of a rollercoaster...
this probally would not happen but say they dont plan on putting anything there for a while would they try to find some older rides to put there, i think they still have ameri-go-round to put up, and somehow they could find another past ride to put into thoes spots
"The rides are GREAT, The shows are GREAT, the fun is GREAT. At Marriott"s GREAT AMERICA!"
I always wonder if they chose to take out SWF alongside Deja Vu intentionally or no. Did they want these two rides gone at the same time so that it could free up space for a new ride next season? Does anyone know if the remians of Splashwater Falls were thrown out? I would not have been as mad had they only removed Deja Vu. SWF was a classic and a nice way to cool off. I only complained about how short it was. I always had fun on it.
traincrossing9 wrote:^To me that just seems kinda cheesy. I think that because the space is somewhat small we should get a coaster like Fahrenheit or Maverick.
That would actually be a great addition to our park!
In my opinion they should put flat rides where deja vu was at especially the Ameri-go-round, that ride is a classic. For Splashwater Falls they should just turn it into a lake. I think that we have too many rollercoasters at the park already. If they were to get rid of one my vote would be Iron Wolf. That ride hurts so bad to the point where I won't ride it anymore. That is just my opinion.
well he was saying that there should be a lake inside the park not next to the parking lot
