Back to Ragin Cajun maybe being removed. Now, Screamscape has suggested that a mouse coaster might be going to Six Flags America. It just has to be going. "The second option, which matches up with our previous rumor would be to relocate the Ragin’ Cajun Zamperla Spinning Mouse coaster from Six Flags Great America to SFA, and install it on the former Two Face location. Would would also likely see the Southwest area of the park around it given a new Mardi Gras / New Orleans theme." Just to mention the other option he said was Zac-Spin.
I don't know why in the world Six Flags would buy another Zamperla Spinning coaster, and no other coaster is close to looking like Ragin Cajun for that video shoot. For Viper backwards, sure they can easily use El Toro or the former Terminator at Magic Mountain, and no one would be the wiser, but Ragin Cajun is too unique. The only circular coaster I can think besides Ragin Cajun of is that one at Knott's Berry Farm, and that's even a little different because it's 2 sided, and the cars are all together as compared to Ragin Cajun separate cars. To me, that was just so sneaky by the park to change the photo /video shoot. They didn't want anyone to know about. If you really think about it, only one person even commented on that photo / video shoot about Ragin Cajun. And the reason for Fright Fest characters on the ride, is something like ride it during Fright Fest because it's going.
So, if the spot is Ragin Cajun just figure out what's going in there, and I'm just going back to Sky Screamer. It makes sense because so many Six Flags have one such as St. Louis, Great Adventure, Over Georgia, Discovery Kingdom, Over Texas, and Fiesta Texas.

I hope we don't get a Skyscreamer, I just think that hese rides are stupid, I mean its just like the Whirligig only taler. I got a suvey invitation about future ride planning and they were asking all of these questions about a dark interactive ride experience. Personally I dont think that this type of ride would last with out scenery changes at least every year. I would like to see a Sky Whirl revamp, and Hay Baler evamp. Something with old classic rides even a super large tilt a whirl or whip or tumble bug but maybe a little larger than what they would normally be.
Ragin' Cajun might be removed taken to Six Flags America for 2014. I would be happy if it's gone because I don't like that has the same coaster as the Dark Knight. So, I don't think SkyScreamer would put into its area because it would be wasted for the space.

Every year?? That's crazy, dark rides are very popular. A good dark ride can last for years without having any changes done to it.
As for Rajun Cajun being removed, I'd be sad to see it be removed as I actually enjoy it, but it does make sense. A Sky Screamer with the same color scheme as SFSTls would fit nicely into the area.

Us Milwaukeeans think alike. I like Cajun on the days when the line isn't very long. When it is, it's not worth it.
While it makes sense in terms of space and logistics, the overall idea just bugs me. Make me pick between Cajun and The Dark Knight and I'll take Cajun every day. I've already voiced my concerns about a SkyScreamer. And jeeze, it isn't all that far from Whirligig, which might give them cause to consider giving that ride the axe as well, eventually, if ridership goes down. I actually like Whirligig, too
Gah. Darn you, Six Flags. You were doing so well in my book the last couple years, then this year had to happen. What next?

Cajun has a fairly small footprint and would probably be a good spot for a Sky Screamer since there's already a queue that can be used again. It might go into the midway near the picnic grove a little though.

They might have to move the queue, but that's neither here nor there.
As an aside, if this happens, I believe I'm going to start calling Six Flags America "Great America's Rollercoaster Retirement Home".
I really don't see why corporate would want to give Cajun to another park from an operational standpoint.....it has been plagued with problems since day 1 and unless they are willing to reset the programming so that it actually operates as it is supposed to I really don't see the reason to ship it out to another park to cause additional grief and frustration. BUT....from a ride rotation standpoint, I could easily see how this would/could be GAm's next on the chopping block....why wouldn't you want to rid yourself of a nightmare contraption that sits on 2x4's?!?! But besides SFA, how many parks in the chain don't have some form of a spinning wild mouse coaster/wild mouse....not necessarily our particular model.
I can think of only SFMM, SFOG , SFDK (although they just got rid of one),
I'm also predicting gloom and doom on the horizon for Orbit and/or Condor in the foreseeable future considering their current states.
^SFGAdv has TDK. We're trying not to give our 2 Mouse problem to another park
I actually don't think Cajun would be an issue at SFA. All of Cajun's issues kill its capacity, but the ride rarely has downtime issues. At SFA, capacity really isn't that big an issue.
As for Orbit and Condor, Condor may just need another rehab, the last one was 04-05. I heard it may be waiting on a part at the moment. Orbit though, just had a rehab this year, so I have no idea what is going on there. They were working on it a while ago, but the last couple visits, there has been no activity at all.

The only park you are missing is Great Escape.

If I had to vote with my heart, I'd keep Orbit and pitch Condor. This even goes against my own riding preferences, as we'll hop into Condor on a whim, whereas Orbit is something we only ride on occasion. But, I'm a traditionalist, and I'll stand up for any of the flats that are still around and from the Marriott days on history alone.
However, my heart isn't as practical as my head, and my head says Orbit is likely an aging ride that might not be as easy to fix now as it was once, nor is it as comfortable or as rideable (I remember getting a tad dizzy last time I rode). Not having the lights of Orbit towering over that section of the park at night ... well, it would feel a lot less like that section of the park.
Speaking of the new ride announcement: While riding Raging Bull at about 3:15 today, I saw someone in a black polo and black pants as well as in sunglasses walking through the backlots with a supervisor between bull and viper. If i didn't know better, it seemed to look just like Jim Reid Anderson (Six Flags Chairman, President, and CEO)

That would make sense because he spends about three days at our park each week in his office in Orleans Place. He could be just walking around to look at the park, or he could've been standing in the spot for next years ride. Did he stop and just look around at his surrounding as if that is where the new ride would be or did he just keep on walking and not stop, because if he did then we're not sure what he was up to. Did he look like the guy in the picture?

That entire ride is a joke. Killing the preshow doesn't improve it but it does make it easier to withstand when you actually ride it (On a very hot or cold/rainy day) Where exactly is his office? How do you know he is here 3 days a week?

Well.....he was combing his hair and it looked EXACTLY like him.....
