I was at the park today, and X-flight looked very cool. I love how the coaster comes quite close to the midway area, several times. It may not be the fastest, or tallest, but seems quite smooth...and surprisingly quiet. I really wanted to be a water dummy today.
I liked how this was all out in the open for everyone to see. This will be a very photogenic ride (compared to say American Eagle, Viper, or Whizzer) and I already got some good shots of it.

Stinky for an opening day! Dark Knight - 45 min, Demon - about 30 min, Batman the Ride - all zigzags open before tunnel, but only a straight through in Gotham City Park. Superman had to be 40 minutes because they had only ONE train going, and it was backed up to the entrance, but I don't think they had zigzags going, but it's still one train. Probably a 400 capacity only. The reason is probably because of weather on Sunday, the general I have to go first day people, $20 tickets, tons of buses, and people probably thinking that X-Flight would actually be open. Later in the day, maybe 5pm, the overflow lot was being used. It was only a little amount of cars in the overflow, but still. When the waterpark is open, it doesn't bother me that I'm parking in the overflow lot because the waterpark adds much more capacity to the park. When you can fit a few thousand more people in the park/s, the overflow lot is not really a big deal.
Only rides I seen closed was Yankee Clipper, the train, and X-Flight of course. Logger's Run I seen the logs go by, so I guess that was open?? Roaring Rapids I don't really know if it was or not.
---With X-Flight, I'm kind of underwhelmed just by seeing it. Off of the interstate, it's like you really have to look for it because it's so small in comparison to Raging Bull, and even Demon is more clearer to see in my opinion. For how much hype it's getting, it just seems like another Floorless coaster. Think Batman the Ride. That's how big it seems to me.

I was at the park, it was great, lines were moving fast Season Pass Center went down afternoon and reopened at 7:30pm... That means people that didn't get their season pass processed will have to wait next week in line while I ride the X Flight
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!
I'm going today to activate my pass for X-Flight next week. Hopefully the lines won't be too long today and it is expected to storm later. I also can't wait until next Saturday!
UPDATE: Just got back from the park. I left before the storms got bad. I mainly just wanted to activate my pass ahead of time for X-Flight this Saturday.
The highlight of the day was definitely watching X-Flight test in the morning. It was the quietest coaster I've ever heard even over HRRR. I have to admit, it took on the inversions VERY slow. I realize it will seem faster once you are on it. I'm getting the back row for my first ride this Saturday.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)
Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
I have a feeling the whole "sand in the tubes" thing is becoming a popular thing to say. A couple parks have said their coasters have it, but I would take it with a grain of salt (or sand!) just to assume every quiet new steel coaster has filler in the tubes.
Kid waiting in line for Demon "yeah, they filled the track with sand, that's why it's so quiet"

Sheikra, Talon, Silver Bullet, X Flight, Manta, Kraken, are a few I can think off of the top of my head that have sanded track.
I might try and put a video together from a few different angles on media day.
Got this shot today. via iPhone so nothing spectacular but I still like it.
Also I must add, this ride looks intimidating coming from the Country Fair bridge past BB and Demon. Changes the whole vibe of the area for the better.

I would say longer then this past Saturday.
If you don't have your Xtreme Pass already - good luck.
if you don't have your Season pass, even better luck
It was wrapped all the way around Hometown Square on Saturday. It's too bad Six Flags doesn't have Customer Service going during the week - that would help make these lines in the beginning of the season MUCH smaller.
The way to go is for sure to get your season pass during Fright Fest.
