Is there any proof other than the location by the water park that would suggest SFGAM would get a water park expansion instead of Chang? I'm just wondering, what if there is another project planned altogether. I can at least hope.

The people who run the facebook pages aren't a good source. Stop using that as a source. Of course their going to dispel rumors.
Not trying to sound like ____ but just because Chang is/was going in the area by Hurricane Harbor does not mean the only option for that area is a water park expansion. A new slide or whatever will not stop the water park from hitting capacity. The bad news? Iron Wolf will haunt us for a little while longer. 13 Years with SFGAm World!

why is it so hard for all you screw heads to calm down and stop bickering like a bunch of spoiled brats? It's a damn ride it won't kill any of you one way or the other.  If he thinks its okay to say "coaster nut my ass" to someone, its only fair for me to think its okay to say whatever I want to him also. Nobody on this site did anything to piss you off, a few people came to these boards at the same time and started stating rumors as facts and are ripping on my members for saying nothing is confirmed yet. The truth is nothing is confirmed yet, so please stop stating things as facts.
To be honest with you, since Chang is the only stand up coaster that I've ever really liked, I was pretty excited to see it coming here, but if it didn't come here, I would've rather see Chang go to St. Louis, since they could've used it, and it wouldn't be too far to drive to visit. If I had to choose any ride from Kentucky Kingdom to come here, it would've been a grand return of the Tidal Wave (aka Greezed Lightnin) for Six Flags 50th birthday. It would probably have fit perfectly in Splashwater Falls old spot, and since it's surrounded by the raceway, they could've kept the racing theme of Greezed Lightnin, too. Since it seems lately Six Flags has been kind of nostalgic of local amusement park history with their excellent restore of Little Dipper, I had a small bit of hope that they might bring Tidal Wave home to us, too. Now it looks like no more rides can be removed from KK by Six Flags, AND we probably are not getting Chang on top of it. Bummer.
You have got a lot to learn, buddy. THIS is what we know so far... #1. This is Great American Scream Machine at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey.  It is still standing and operating. #2. At least one piece of Changs track is on Six Flags Great America property. Here is a picture courtesy of jonrev!  As far as I know, no more pieces have been sighted on Six Flags Great America property. #3. The rest of Chang is sitting in a crane yard in Kentucky. Credit to CoasterFreak45 at KICentral for the pictures.    If anyone wants to make the trek and prove him or her wrong... the address of this place is 840 Licking Pike Wilder, KY 41076. #4. There is space for Chang at Six Flags Great America. They've also planned for it, and gone before the Village of Gurnee with intent of constructing the ride. Props to Jon Rev for this picture as well.  This is all that we know. These are facts, and these are what we have PHYSICAL PROOF OF. No one just "said" these things. You can see them. I made sure you could see them. Hence the pictures. You can speculate all you want, but you're speculating about rumors. Let's head on over to Webster's and find out what a "rumor" is.

What you people keep bickering about are the first word: rumors. What you people need to remember are the facts. Now a rumor cannot be a fact until it has the "quality of being actual or is actually in existence. I don't care who or what tells you something. Until there is physical evidence, like in the provided pictures, nothing you or I say can be taken/nor proven as fact. I don't care who says it. (Unless in the form of an official announcement) Now I'm going to go get my popcorn and continue to watch you people claim rumors as facts. Then when you find out the truth you will all say how you "saw it coming" and "knew it all along." Then you'll all go back to being nice to each other, and those who are going all in with their assumptions will leave the site and it will be back to it's old AIM Chatroom vibe. Just like the good old days...
^ Exactly, when you face the facts you can find that there really are no absolute, certain facts that say who is going to get Chang. As much as it pains me to say this, we don't need Chang, Great Adventure doesn't need Chang, no one really needs Chang. It's just a matter of who deserves Chang and where it would be the most successful. That would be at one of the smaller parks that need new attractions. Although, I must say this discussion is playing out like a soap opera and is quite entertaining!

You and the other SFGAdv fanboys need to also stop using the "<park employee/supervisor> told me." That kind of source is really hit and miss and more often than not is wrong. Most of the people who work at the parks aren't enthusiasts and if their ear is on the floor, they don't even know what they're listening to.
