^ What is going on at the park today? And yes it's great to see the park come to life again.
P.S. The Demon has it's red train back. No more stride ad.

Question what is with the yellow on the supports.
I'm not sure, but it looks really out of place to me, with everything else being red and black, and then yellow just thrown in there. Everything else looks really awesome though.
do you think it has to do with their attempt to theme it as a runway strip? you have the control tower, and then the dashed lines to give the feel that the "plane" is beginning to land. If you know what I mean when I say that.

I think it's a temp structure. if you look at the picture, unless it's an optical illusion, the train looks like it would clip the support.

Seeing as they have sent the train more than once with that support there, I'm pretty sure it doesn't hit. Besides B&M doesn't mess up their clearances, what do you think this is? Intamin or Gerstlauer?

Hmm. Unaware of that.
It looks like the track passes through the top and bottom of the structure. It's gotta be a illusion of the angle of the picture.

It does...it dives under it at ground level just before the Immelmann and then goes through it on the heartline roll. I actually like the yellow....it fits the theme of a plane very well

If you look closely, the control tower is not completely finished yet....there are panels missing in the front that will give you that head chopper feel.
The yellow on the support was in the animation. If they hold true to that, they will also have lights on that support. I think they want to increase the visibility of that fly though, cause the recurring theme on ALL of the Wing Riders is it's almost impossible to notice the fly throughs, even though all but Wild Eagle have multiple fly through's and close calls. Just about every report says they didn't even notice the gigantic 747 Wing that Swarm just barely misses and goes under at the bottom of it's first drop.
Part of the panels on the front are on for the headchopper towards the top, then you can see the empty frame of it lower down.
And I'm only aware of one instance ever where Gerstlauer had to modify a support due to clearance issues due to the fact it was built to European instead of US standards on Spongebob.

One of my friends that work at SFGAm, has a picture of him at the control panel of X Flight posted on facebook. It clearly shows that the yellow-black support facing the "station side" has big clamps and something linear attached to it. It's either mists or linear lights.
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!
B&M has has to redesign a bunch more supports than Gerstlauer, never for (american)clearance issues that I'm aware of, but for actual serious issues, like structural deficiency

There are very few rides out there that I can think of (Manta, Ninja at SFSTL) where the close-calls are noticeable and make the ride better. Most major coasters you just whiz right by it and that kind of theming is there for show.

As soon as a close-call becomes ride-enhancing, it simultaneously becomes rider-injuring (at the very least hazardous)
Of course it's slight, but the zero-G roll does seem to be loosening up nicely. The Immelman, on the other hand, is still looking sluggish.

I agree, in the videos that some people have taken of testing, the zero-G is going by really quickly.
What other rides at the part have theming throughout the actual ride experience? Batman. Demon. Dark Knight. X-Flight. Any others that I'm missing?
And if you go on to Trip Reports, lord soth posted a PTR from Advocate Day. Got some really great pictures of X-Flight, including the entrance with the big X on the cement.
Can't wait to see the train run with the hangar and water elements too. Hopefully SF will get a great video of that with a nice view point of the whole ride, maybe the view from Batman again?
