Its not that they are spoiled. SFI doesn't think that those parks are more special than the rest for no good reason. Its because those parks are located in MAJOR cities with LOTS of competition. Six Flags branded these parks as the thrill capitols of those specific regions, so if they don't continue to add rides people will stop coming. Great America sits with virtually no competition and huge profit margins, so there isn't much reason to "spoil" us any more than we are now.

I think that we should get a roller coaster like Fahrenheit. It could go were Vu and SWF used to be. We could make the coaster connect the two spots togeter by having the coaster go over the midway.

^ i know its not going to KI because they're new coaster is over 5,000 feet long. and i don't think that any DM would be that long and have the layout i saw. besides, its all but confirmed that they are getting a B&M hyper.

and about great adventure....i read something about the DM rumor that said that the decision to who gets the DM (SFGAm or SFGAdv) would come down to who deserves it more. Seriously who deserves a new coaster more?

SFGAdv with kingda ka, nitro, el toro, B:TR , Medusa, TDK , they got to keep their version of shockwave (GASM) and get S:UF too. and i think they have a zoo or something with animals and hurricane harbor

while we have V2, Bull, S:UF (getting old for me), and TDK and some others plus we lost Vu

Great Adventure does not have so much wasted space like we do. We lost not one but two rides this year. One of them I will never forgive the park for. Yeah, I'll always be bitter. I hope Aftershock tanks.

^Actually....not 1...not 2...but 3!!!

And the thing is, all of those rides serves a very important role. DejaVu was the one ride thrill seekers were sometimes nervous riding. The the other two, SWF and SSA, were both classic family rides.

^That's all I've heard about KI. So, yes, I think they are.

I really hope we get the dive machine. As it has been said before, nobody really deserves or needs it more than us (or at least that's what we feel lol). :D

^^About Deja Vu making thrill seekers nervous before riding, I think a dive machine would fill that place up nicely. Even though we have Vertical Velocity which has a vertical section, it would be a nice fit. Who wouldn't get nervous seeing a coaster as tall or taller than RB rolling closer and closer to the edge of a VERTICAL DROP!!! in my opinion, that would be one of the best things to take up that spot.

yeah, they already started work on it

pictures here

someone even made a video on youtube of what it might look like
here

it also looks like they are building a splashdown for it which would be a cool new thing for a B&M Hyper

^^ Sweet, I see it being kindof being a Nitro type hyper with all the trees and stuff...

^^ I also think that a Diver would be PERFECT for SFGAM...

A dive machine would fit perfectly, too, they don't really take up too much space as other coaster's with the same height. Plus the dive machine would bring in thousands of guests.

You know, just reading things on Yahoo answers and other sites, it seems like the GP is really disappointed in the Dark Knight. I've read things like "Why did I wait 2 hours for that?" and "It has no loops, no big drops, so what's the point." and "What a waste of 8 million dollars."

People on those sites are urging you to NOT to ride it. Maybe this is a sign that we could be on the list for something bigger? (GP speaking)

A Dive Machine wont fit. There no room for supports or the large track. A pull out of the drop would stretch across the whole SWF area.

^Just take a look at how compact Sheikra is, though. If it is a pull out and then into an immelman, you've got enough room. I have also heard a rumor that it would go underneath the path that separtes the Deja Vu spot and SWF spot.

Of course the GP is disappointed. It's not 51651651321 feet tall with 564321321 loops at 65744321 MPH. It's a small, compact, indoor coaster. People are going to be disappointed.

All this talk about using a tunnel to connect the two areas is probably true, but I personally think that the first drop would not go through a tunnel. Here's my theory, use the station platform of DejaVu, build the lift heading towards the food court, left turn around at the top, vertical drop, use the area behind the hot dog stand, immelman, some turns to end up facing towards SWF, the second vertical drop go underneath the path and use SWF for a splashdown/another Immelman or other inversion. It's just a thought.

 Ya I know, but don't you think it is a sign that the "thrill seekers" (making up over half of the park's attendance) are getting kind of sick and ultimately bored with what has been there for the past 5+ years? Six Flags is going to start losing money...

That's why I think a dive machine would bring in lots of peeps! :D

^^Yea a we could go on and on about how great a diver would go at SFGAM, but at the same time, the GP would find a way to be dissapointed... It would be "too short" or "Not enough loops"...

What has always puzzled me is the fact that the GP is so obsessed with loops! Everybody (GP) at SFGAM is like "LOOK AT THE LOOPDY LOOPS ON BATMAN!!!"

OMG, its soooooo annoying, inversions arent that great... Except zero-g rolls, those are amazing...

^ I applaud your drawing... but i Boo your negitiveishness "wolnt get"

But yea, we so need this! This ride would bring in so many visitors. Plus who dosen't love those amassing straight down drops!! :D

I also think that the tunnel would be after the second drop..... like Sheikra.
