What do you want to happen at SFGAm

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I just hope our park doesn't get bought out by Cedar Fair. It's because of the no rerides policy. Busch Gardens is better because at least they give you 2 rides in a row, but still it's better than nothing. If it becomes Disney, goodbye to a lot of the roller coasters. I wish it doesn't get sold, but on the other hand, I wish Shapiro and his team of people would leave the company.

Any company buying it though is better than it just becoming a bunch of condos, or another mall.

I got a few on my mind:

--Bring back the Marriott soundtracks
--Get rid of Gecko and the massive advertising!
--Do we need a car dealer in Southwest???
--Put something in the place of Splashwater Falls and/or SSA
--Add a 'History of America' show to Pictorium
--Bring back the Western Stunt Show to the Amphitheater. NO Spygirl!
--More Bugs Bunny stuff
--Take down Wilderness Theatre and put a floorless there, or do something with it.
--Remove Jester's Wild Ride for something else
--I agree with CoasterJustin in adjusting the program for King Chaos
--Add a water coaster to HH
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."

So buy removing Jester Wild Ride you want a new coaster there ;)

I mean, Jesters is a decent ride and I have no idea why people hate it. If it is removed, they could add another food stall...or a few benches.

Problem with Jesters is that it's a kids ride, made and marketed as Zamperla as a kids ride, but SFGAm labeled it a family ride and stuck it out on the midway. If it had the standard theme or something and was in the kids area I think it would have gone over alot better.

Though yeah there isn't much you could fit in that space except maybe a tower ride of some sort or small flat which probably wouldn't be a heck of a lot better than Jesters. Though if they really try they could probably fit a set of Flying Scooters there.

Although it wouldn't be much of a step-up, a Moser spring ride could probably fit there.

WE NEED AN S&S SLINGSHOT
Also, clean up the park. Put some nice stone ground in some areas. Redo some buildings and stations, (like Iron Wolf's station). Make unused buildings usable. Put a large scaled looping roller coaster. And wtf, get some more thrilling flats so that people don't just run to roller coasters all the time. Put some stuff in the midway to reduce lines and other crowds.

I also think that the sideshow games are getting a little old. That was 90s.

YEAH MORE UP-CHARGE ATTRACTIONS, COMPACT FLOORLESS COASTERS, AND LAME SHOWS THAT ONLY US NERDS WOULD ENJOY!

And sorry, children do not enjoy bugs bunny anymore.
Most of them don't even know scooby-doo.

God, I hope none of you ever end up running an amusement park.

so your idea for a park with little to no money and no one in their right mind will give them any, is to use money they dont have to tear down stuff and re build new stuff in what 6 mouths? How the hell do they do that. You might not like that its a family park, you keep saying how much other parks are better, then just stop going. It like saying yea I hate fast food and eating meat is bad, but hey i got 5 bucks lets go to Mc Donalds.

I am so sick of this deal with the park the way it is because it wont go back to a thrill park

-Make Revolution more like the one at Cedar Point
-We need a launch tower like they have at almost all Six Flags
-No spygirl
-Take out the extra que space by batman and build something like a moto coaster.
-Repaint V2 Orange and Black
-Add another no kid water ride
-We need a motocoaster somewhere! And a floorless
-Do something with the picnic grove when its not fright fest!
-I just really need 2 launches in one park. V2 isnt enough for me.
-Make a new sky ay(chair lift) in the park. The trains arent to fun and alot of times arent open.

In order to be a good park again they obviosley need to bring back Sky Whirl. They also need to take Tidal Wave back from SFKK and replace Iron Wolf with it. Also have LAFF showing year round (including the offseason when all the rides are closed), build an Intamin Giga in place of Yankee Clipper, build a HUSS "Land of the Giants" in Carousel Plaza where shuttle is, retheme V2 to the Green Lantern (the black one) and paint it green & black, remove HH for a Balder clone, and hire Nick Saban to be GM.

I only agree with the Sky Whirl and the Tidal Wave. I don't agree with taking out the Yankee Clipper. Yes we also do need a sky ride agian.

But what if the new ride had the same layout as Yankee Clipper but was actually an Aquatrax .

All of those things will probably never happen. I especially don't see them just taking out Yankee Clipper without taking down Logger's Run. The paint on V2 is fine. They will NOT be taking down iron Wolf anytime soon. They enjoy making people suffer on it and Tidal Wave will more than likely not end up anywhere near SFGam. They are getting rid of it for financial purposes. Why would they bring it here? Didn't we just get rid of three rides due to increasing operating costs? Deja Vu, Splashwater Falls, Space Shuttle America...I say no more water rides in the park. HH is right next door. Just keep the 3 we actually have open to help with lines. Concentrate on a new thrilling coaster and rehab Wolf (trains, paint) and paint Giant Drop a more visually appealing color. Add new scenery to Demon. Paint Dark Knight box with graffiti. Perfectly reasonable I think.

Who is that????

Tidal Wave leaving SFKK is not 100% concrete yet. They supposedly have only started removing bits and pieces of the chain lift and stuff like that. Doubt it will be moved to another park. Probably dumped like Splashwater Falls was.

Six Flags is screwed. End of story. They can't really do anything anymore to save themselves. They shouldn't have built HH. Honestly. THEY DIDN'T EVEN HAVE THE MONEY FOR IT. Do you realize how much money 2 Billion is? Now think about it in the negatives. You OWE 2 billion. They are going nowhere, and I hope they have to sell all of their parks, and shut down.

All of these are ideas, but our ideas won't make 2 billion. You would need to spend another hundred million on world class roller coasters and theming, and be 3 billion in debt, to even get 1.5 billion out of debt. See? They don't have money. They are below broke. How are they even building this new stuff? Charity funds?

Tidal Wave is not leaving SFKK, your thinking of Two Face at Six Flags America. My post was a sarcastic response to all of the posts that listed a rediculous amount of new of large new rides/rethemes. That is a picture of Nick Saban, the head coach of Alabama Football.

No, it wasn't sarcasm.

Grezzed Lightnin is seriously being dismantled and sent to Geauga Lake was we speak.
You guys are so oblivious to the obvious, it's terrible.

Two-Face also isn't being sold, it's they're just testing it with GIB trains (SFGAm's old ones to be exact, they took SFOG's instead of ours, which is why they can't sell it) because they think it will make the ride run better. They just wanted to double check that the old trains do work so they could sell them on Craig's List.

We also DO need a moto-coaster in BTR's HUGE queue space!
We could MAYBE even fit a station there! HOW THRILLING!
We could call it Nolan's Lighthouse. Because it goes with the Yankee Harbor theme.

Then we can get a a TTD clone, and use skytrek as the support tower.
WOW WOULDNT THAT BE AWESOME?!

Then to satisfy some of the members here craving for launch rides AND a ski-lift style ride... We'll make, KINGDA CHAIR! KING OF CHAIRS! 0-5 IN 9 SECONDSSSS!!! Marketing wont have a problem getting that one out there! It can also be the worlds fastest ski-lift, the worlds tallest, the worlds longest, AND THE ONLY ONE DESIGNED BY A SFGAMWORLD MEMBER!

We can also take a ride like revoultion, MAGICALLY flip the seats outword, make a retractable floor, and COMPLETELY redo the way the ride runs without a SINGLE PROBLEM! Those guys at HUSS (pronounced "huh"-ss) are sure bright!

That was by far the best post I've EVER made.

Yes, Six Flags Great America def. needs some cosmetic overhaul, They should focus on NO new rides for a year or two and focus on other things! I also think park admission, parking and a lot of food prices are way to high! This is why i choose to travel to Cedar Point more often then going to Six Flags, ya i have to then pay for a hotel, but i know the prices i am paying at Cedar Point are justified.

Its sad when i can go to Universal Studios/Islands of adventure and get a 7 day unlimited pass for $89 and a 1 day ticket to six flags is $59.99 or what ever! really? Universal not only has way more expensive rides but is also 3 to 4 times the six of six flags!
