I'm not trying to start speculation or anything, please don't take my input too seriously. I saw the red train on Demon sitting earlier in the season but have not seen it since. Isn't it a little late in the season to still be running with two trains, especially with most everything else running with full capacity. The park could be planning nomeD already for all I know.
It seems like the other side always wins on American Eagle Also, I've ridden Goliath 23 times in one day. HBU? (Sorry in advance for unnecessary commas and parenthesis every where)

Or there's just no need to run three trains.
I went the other day and the ride had a 10 minute wait while everything else in the park was probably 45+. Not to mention I don't think they add the 3rd train until mid July, although I may be wrong.
Today, I went on Demon for the first time since 2012. All I did was literally walk to the station when the yellow train was departing and the rows were almost all empty. I got on and off in about 5 minutes even though the sign said 15. (It should have just been blank) Now I understand why I never ride Demon. Well first of all, I don't know if it's only me, but my I feel like my harness is loose on this ride. I know it can't get unlocked while operating unless they're manually opened, but that's what it felt like. Then, the corkscrews slammed my head in the restraints and my ear really hurt.
So to make a long story short, a third train isn't needed on Demon.
I agree. You should of seen demon the last time I was Great America. There was no line for demon, in fact none of coasters had (long) lines. Execpt for Goliath.

It's not just you....Demon is BRUTAL! It was slamming my head into the restraints, too.

Demon's red train has not been there all season. It is still in rehab (as well as Whizzer's third train).
I don't think demon, or nemoD would happen. Here are my reasons
1) the company that manufactured demon was bought out and I don't believe that a "backwards train" could be made
2) demon (in my opinion) is no longer considered a thrill coaster. This is many kids' first coaster, and I don't think a sudden thrill boost would be well received
3) the corkscrew, nuff' said

1. Explain Canyon Blaster at Great Escape. Designed by Arrow and turned around trains. Just because the company is bought out/done doesn't mean trains can't be built (Sooperdooperlooper, Pysch Underground, Etc.)
2. Viper wasn't really considered a thrill coaster but they turned those trains around.

3. Batman the Ride
How exactly is Viper not considered a thrill coaster?
Demon should be able to run backwards no problem. I honestly don't know a lot about the mechanics of the trains, but if an arrow train can run on a Vekoma boomerang, I would assume that an arrow train could run backwards elsewhere.
The real question is, would it even be worth it?
It's hard to see but here is a standard loop/screw full circuit that was ran backwards.
While it would be possible for demon to run backwards... It wouldn't happen. Demons main crowd is younger kids getting a first taste of coasters that invert. Those kids ride it all day long. They wouldn't want it backwards cause it'd be too scary. Older people would ride it once, realize how much it hurts. Then be done. So I feel like towards the end the crowd would become less and less
Somehow this has turned into a "do you like demon or not" thread so I'll try and bring us back on topic after one last comment
I have always loved Demon and last Sunday, I dragged my 4 nephews on it even though they complained it's too rough to be fun. I said it's fun and old-school, etc. Well there was something that seemed especially rough about Demon this year. I would hate to see them get rid of it though because I have a soft spot for my Arrow loopers. Also, they were playing this very bizarre Demon-related recording in the station. I know they've been uncovering long-lost Demon songs, etc but this recording sounded like a War of the Worlds type broadcast. It was so loud that I couldn't understand a lot of the words.
Will they get rid of Demon? It's certainly possible given that Arrow loopers don't get respect these days, and it will probably boil down to a "we don't have the parts" issue in the end.
So new for 2015? Think small. for 2015 and 2016. And probably 2017. I'm thinking a flat ride on the Ragin Cajun footprint. A new waterslide. New entertainment.

That broadcast you were discussing has been played for years. Maybe they got rid of it for awhile, but I have heard it several times. Of course,I have been riding it since the 80s, so maybe I just remember it from back then.
I have been riding the Demon since 1983 and I recalled the songs (the Demon....he's gonna getcha) but this broadcast I have definitely never heard in the 1980's or recently. I just thought it was another newly discovered one but apparently I've just never been around to hear it
Yesterday I had gone and they were saying there were power outages in the area and it was going around the whole par. But that never ended up happening. The only rides that were down for a short time were all the tall rides near the center access road. and shortly after the power came back and I got on Batman and in the access road I saw what looked like 18 wheeler that left tracks from a puddle.
Not trying to explode rumors or anything but while in line for goliath we went behind the train station and saw the building there and some workers were about to walk in and I saw a blue print. Now frankly it probably was for a coaster/flat that has already been built but if anybody else gets a chance maybe you could try get a more detailed look at it

Unfortunately no because it was through a door way and the line moved past it
