Maybe I shouldn't be posting this, because I know how much little things can balloon into huge rumors etc etc. But.
On Saturday, I rode STT and looking at the rumored Chang relocation site, I saw a few interesting things.
1. In the parking lot directly behind where SSA used to be, and down way towards the service road nearest the Big Tube slides of HH, I saw red and blue fencing closing off a long rectangular strip of the parking lot. (I will take pictures the next time I go to the park to detail what I mean)
2. Also, directly behind the former site of SSA, in the parking lot parallel to The Tornado water slide, I saw several red spray painted markings near that general area on the parking lot itself.
3. This last thing I saw maybe a little bit more difficult due, to the fact that from my vantage point on STT, it could have been anything. However, It appears from what I saw that there is a section of the employee lot roped off, this area is behind the entrance to TDK in the employee lot.
AGAIN, from my vantage point it makes that last park difficult to confirm, but I can tell you that the other 2 things I spotted are very much in fact there.
Now, these things I point out could be nothing, but its really interesting seeing some of these things with all the rumors floating around.
^That third thing could be where they are going to store the Chang track when it arrives.

According to our sources, with Chang not set to open at SFGAm until 2011, they were in no hurry to transport the entire ride at the Chicago area right away, so they were taking the slow and steady approach. In other words, the pieces found in Kentucky just haven’t been shipped yet. Don’t believe in the theories that the pieces were brought back due to an unknown court order or something… that didn’t happen. These pieces should vanish soon enough as well.

Still does not make ANY sense why a few important pieces are at Six Flags and other in Kentucky. Just checking that was Chang in the crane lot? We know the park has already put up signs for the 2011 attraction in SSA area. We know no park has a Thomas Town AND Wiggles World. If Chang was not coming here I really think all these extra parts of it would not have showed up here. They would have been kept altogether in Kentucky.
I think it is not about Chang but overall about Six Flags and Kentucky parting ways officially. Doesn't their lease end this month? Plus why pay to bring Chang here when they don't have permits for it and it does not open till 2011? We have: Train (s), staircase, support and track. I don't buy it will go back to SFKK. They are worried about getting an operator set for next season as they are losing tons of $$ by not opening this season. They probably don't care about a 12 year old coaster now. More important things to think about.
We got train(s) from Chang?!? I missed that. lol
You missed the ABC 7 News video showing a train in storage?
best guess would be that at the may hearing the park will apply for approval of Chang. May/June but May seems most logical given all the work that needs to get done still in the summer. Another thing, does anyone worry Chang will still be Chang and lack any sort of theme next year? Or did Shapiro's annoucement mean it will definitely be rethemed when it reopens?
I'm sick of it too. yes, we don't NEED a new coaster. No park does in the chain. Every park should be happy to still be open and have guests keep on renewing season passes each year, coming back several times a season and buying all the crap they sell. To go to any Six Flags park you really do need to check your wallet just on the food alone.
Let those who are happy about Chang celebrate when they chose to. If you're not happy go cry us a river somewhere else.
