Not sure if this has been brought up, but I could see the park looking into bringing back American Eagle backwards long term. With some topper track and new trains from PTC, I'm sure it could happen.
^As long as we can keep the unique lap bars that it has. Or if they were to put new PTC lap bars in a new train, hopefully they would be like Vipers - only drop to a certain level, can't staple you.
I think the trains actually run pretty good. The frankenstein stuff - the extra side metal plates and 'eagle wings' probably aren't going anywhere. Timberliners have that shaped grab bar on the side - I wonder if that would be do-able for the Eagle, then no need for frankenstein wings. And headrests... ugh.
Not if I were in charge The Eagle would be the world class top 10 coaster it once was... and yearns to be.
The helix/barrel needs so much work - re doing those supports is possible. Of course it would cost money. People will still try to slap hands, though. I figured the rumored refurbishment (with Timberliners) would help with that issue - the grab bar on the side of the Timberliners may help to prevent folks reaching out, without being as ugly and annoying as the wings.
Either way, I think we have the 2 best running and maintained woodies in the chain. But it wasn't always that way - for anyone who remembers the all wood track Eagle, before the I-beams came in.
I'm not going to lie that April fools joke got me good. Now I'm heartbroken.

I would love a ZacSpin in Iron Wolf's old spot. Compact and sure looks fun...it even keeps with the no track above or below theme! http://youtu.be/zbDbYq_Mnfg
^I've said this before, but for the love of God, NOOO!!!!! The capacity on those things is complete utter crap. We already have an embarrassingly low capacity coaster in Cajun, we sure as hell don't need another.
The zac spin would be cool, but a train loading NIGHTMARE.
I'm not expecting anything good for 2013. We have xflight and I'm okay for a couple years. My guess is maybe new shows and at best, a new thrilling flat ride, but most likely no new coaster.
I don't think Eagle needs a huge fix up. New trains at most.
Xlight total rides: 50 times and in every row except front row left wing.
If we do happen to get a coaster, it would either be a Zac Spin or a relocated coaster. The Zac Spins cost less than most coasters, and relocated is also obviously cheap. I don't think we will be getting either of those though. X-Flight will keep people coming for a while, and Six Flags would be smart to space out the next coaster until 2014 or 2015. Now what I am about to say makes no sense to me, but I saw it and found it interesting, so please let me know your opinion. On some spoiler website I saw that a poster was talking about the top 4 main parks in the chain giving up coasters to the ride relocation program. These parks were Great Adventure, Magic Mountain, Great America, and Over Texas. They seemed to think that Great Adventure had tried to give away their Superman, but couldn't because one was already being moved. Obviously, that would mean Great America would have had to give up theirs. Then it went on to say that Scream would be coming from Magic Mountain, but to me that doesn't make sense. I would love this to happen just because I really dislike Superman, but I know that it will not. What I would like to see in 2013 is a new flat. Not a Sky Screamer, but something that is really intense. I don't know what that would be, though. I think we also might see a new show or two next year to add on to the flat(s).
New show it will be a while till we get a new ride again. No Zacspin how about a mack launch coaster instead like Manta is Sea world or a megalite from intamin it will probly fit in the old Iron Wolf spot.
Ya with V2 being the only coaster with a launch, i think the next coaster will be a launch coaster. Would love to see something like that incorporated in with the trees in Wolves old spot.

What about a really really good maybe four level coaster type haunted house in Wolf's spot? Something that would just be awesome coaster track wise but still give awesome startles.

2013 - Get new thrill ride(s), re-new show, a new park for the children as possible, and a new junior coaster
2014 - Refurbish Viper and get a new Millennium Flyer train for Viper, or remodel Batman: the Ride including the station and queue lines, and get new water slide(s) for Hurricane Harbor
2015 - Get a new LSM Launch coaster for Iron Wolf's spot like Maverick or Cheetah Hunt and/or get a new water coaster or get a new Gerslauer EuroFighter coaster
Tell me what do you think about this?

Why would they spend money to refurbish a coaster that runs perfectly fine? Viper needs no major work done to it. Batman is fine too, maybe just a little more ventilation for the inside queue, but no need for a full remodel.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense - for a park to get rid of one of it's top 3 rides at the park - at SFGAm. Yet, a lot of what Six Flags is doing now doesn't make a lot of sense. Now, I think it would be even more dumb to get rid of Superman for a ride like Scream or Bizarro (SFGAdv) because X-Flight is somewhat like a slow Floorless coaster, and than you would have a faster floorless coaster if they get one of those 2. You would probably see X-Flight's line severely decrease than.
I really think this program is so stupid. The only time it makes any sense whatsoever is if you have a park that is about to close down for good like SFKK or Astroworld, and than you have the ability to move rides from a park to another park (Even though sending Batman the Ride from New Orleans to Fiesta Texas (Though, SFOT has one) was kind of stupid. - Why not replace some terrible SLC in the chain instead?). When you spend major money on a coaster, you shouldn't be thinking oh in 6 years, we are going to move this ride somewhere else. It's just a dumb idea.
It's also dumb for a park like Magic Mountain to get rid of Scream (IF they did do this.) when I feel that the park has worse coasters like Viper, and people say Revolution is terrible. Gold Rusher isn't that great compared to other mine train coasters out there, and it's getting old - 1971. More stuff to fry at that park than Scream!

Why do people keep saying Viper needs to be refurbished? It's running well and is one of the best coasters in the park!
some long overdue maintnence is required on the park right now. Some new paint and such would look very nice on a few of our coasters. v2 superman demon batman and for the love of god repaint eagle.
If we were to get something new next year im sure it will not be a coaster unless something is relocated. Which in turn i do not believe will happen anytime soon. (maybe 2014).
As for the future of coasters. I would like to see a floorless or a 7 looper... they can even steal viper from sfmm if they want! A nice launch coaster or euro fighter. GCI would rock as well.
My dream is still a water coaster though. Take out one of the flumes. Maybe leave loggers run and ditch yankee clipper or take them both out. I know alot of people would not agree with me on that but yeah.
whatever the future holds it has to be great.
Oh one other thing... i miss our stand-up already so bring in a record breaker!
I've noticed that Whizzer has been very rough this season. Both times that I have been on it I felt like I had ridden Eagle. I know that most people never want to see Whizzer leave, but I mean come on, it has to go sometime! I can see this happening in the next ten years for sure.
Anyway, moving back to 2013, I feel like we will see Yankee Clipper removed. There is no point of it standing when it's not being used! It would be cool to see a watercoaster for that area. That would be a new type of thing for the park, and could introduce not only a good water ride, but a solid ride for younger kids as well.
