Is it really that fair to complain that Six Flags is not making that great of a profit when their number 1 park and the rest are still closed?
These new policies make sense. It's just like any other business. You look at what is your assets and your core and build around that. Before it was all about the thrill seekers, now it's about families. I really doubt a family could make it across the park in under an hour, especially if they are as slow and retarded as your scenario families always are.
Speaking of capacity, ever actually operate a ride? Ever have 17 people have to hop over a train, try to figure out which box to use (no joke) try to organize their stuff and get it standing up then have to hop back over the train? That is at least another 30-60 seconds worth of time lost. Then when they are being unloaded they slow down the people trying to be loaded. Plus there will always be the person who doesn't know what to do with their digital camera seeing as the ops/attendants can't be responsible for it.
I'll be sad that I can't ride revvy the instant I get there but oh well, I'm a big boy, I can deal with it. Shout for south!... just do it a bit later.

Actually for the first quarter, there was no profit, if they doubled the amount of revenue they could come close to making a profit. That was considered an excellent quarter

tsalas08- It may not bother you that I spend little money in the park, but it will bother SF to get less money fromn any customer, including my and my family members. I have read your comments but disagree with them greatly in most respects and have expressed my vierws to SF management .
I also hate the locker idea when you have to pay for them. They should have the fingerprint lockers that they have at Universal Studios Florida. All you do is put your finger on a scanner and they give you a locker number. You stick your stuff in and its free up to two hours. After the two hours they do charge you and I am not sure how much it was, but who is going to leave their stuff at one ride line for over two hours. To get you bag back you just go to the same screen and put you finger down again and it unlocks your locker for you automatically. It was really easy to use and they were free, which was the best part. That is what they should get here also.
Of course the first quarter only represents 5% of yearly revenue, and when you factor in easter being in the first quarter this year instead of the second quarter like last year, that accounts for alot of the uptick.
But the reality is that the stock price of the company is down, and no postive earning's were found in the quarter you speak of, or in the projections for the future.
I don't know how many people already noticed this, but I was looking on the six flags site and saw that the park will be opening at 10:30 now instead of ten. I think it is also closing earlier on some of the days too, but I'm not sure.
^ What site are you looking on? I just looked through the entire schedule on SFGAm's official site and did not find even one instance of a 10:30 opening time
Yes ,other parks in the system started at 10:30 am opening last year and continuing this year! At least here SFGAm only a section is opening is at 11 am and rest of the park at 10 am. I'm ok with that!
Bus parking at SFGAdv is $25 sill unknown here SFGAm. EXpress lane only for Season Parking Pass user install at SFGAdv still unknown here at SFGAm.
Will my backpack(mine will be flat as only my camera, cell, and wallet will be in it) be allowed on the rides if it is securely fastened to my body(using the clips on the front of it)?
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

My goal is to not have to pay for every ride I go on with those overpriced lockers. That's why I asked about securing it rather then storing it in a locker.
Another question, how much is an all day locker?

Why would you put all of that in a backpack? Put it in your pocket. unless its a (D)SLR I could understand. I'm still trying to think of how to make my Canon Rebel be pocket friendly

It's a small camera and I don't want to risk it falling out when I go upside down. I am trying to figure out how to chain it to my belt. Should have thought of this last weekend. Also, my camera and wallet will more then likely fall out if not properly secured.
Edit: Forgot my camera has a strap for this kind of thing. It is now secured to my belt! WOOT! Now, to figure out my cell and wallet...

Sorry I was just being a smart***.
I use ziplock baggies in my pockets. I find if I put all my stuff in ziplocks it helps keep it all together and nothing falls out. A quick check of my bag after the ride and I know I am all good. Also it helps for the water rides keeping all my stuff dry.
You guys do realize that Cedar Point has the $1 lockers as well right? Personally, I would just quit complaining and wear cargo shorts or leave your stuff in the car. Its not that hard.
I have never had anything fall out of a pocket while riding a ride; including everything I had yesterday: wallet, keys, cellphone, glasses, checkbook. When your sitting properly on all the coasters they stay in pretty well unless you wearing and odd pair of pants/shorts. I highly suggest cargo shorts if you concerned about anything falling out, that way they are secure.

My bad, I must have been looking at the wrong park. I went back and looked again and it said 10:00. Sorry about that.
^ My camera has a loop on it to secure it to my hand when taking pictures. I brought it to the park (and a few others) last season and simply clipped that to a carabiner I use to secure my keys. It's a fairly simple thing to do and it secures it well too. It's worked well for me and others probably do something similar as well.
