Thanks for the update, I knew most of that, but nice to see it in a nice organized form. Also, it is nice to know that Dark Knight will not be open on opening day, thanks!

I think they're going to run out of Value Parking by like Noon. I wonder what Vipers repainted trains will look like? RagingBullFan how did you find all this out.

Well since I got my pass at St. Louis, I'm going to lose about 15 pounds this summer.

Don't you have to pay a dollar to put your stuff in the locker at the entrance of a ride that had the no loose article policy?

Why 11am? Saves on payroll

Parking- Would Buses and Handicap pay Also $25
I was thinking $20 would be fair like SFOG is charging for their closer parking.
Trams were use in Marriott Days-
http://www.greatamericaparks.com/images/displayimage.php?album=33&pos=14
Trams engine needs to be earth friendly like Bio-diesel and the Parking Lots Need to be Re-stripe like Epcot & MK Lots are for safety of the Trams. Also, more controlled parking instead of people walking through park cars and not using the crosswalk stripe areas.

That loose items policy is the only thing I don't like, really. Now, except for when my Dad brings me and doesn't ride the rides (he doesn't like them), I can't wear my Crocs because they don't stay on well enough and I don't want to sit on them. Ugh! Why can't they just keep it the way it is--with bins by the exit?? Are they just trying to suck more money?? :x At least it's only a dollar.

Other then that, I'm glad about everything else. Except County Fair, of course.
Eh.......I got nothing.

I have a few things to say on some of the new policies.

First of all, if youre one of the people complaining about the CF stuff not opening till 11, get over it! Its only an hour after the park opens on any given day and same time as HH opens anyway.

The lockers. This i think is a horrible idea. I see where theyre coming from with things being stolen from the bins. However, i think it should be the riders choice. As of now, lockers are MANDATORY for anything you cant put in pockets. If you dont want to put something in a locker THAT YOU PAY FOR, that doesnt justify you not going on the ride. From what i can predict, they will loose rider throughput and they will either A take them out, our B make them optional.

I would also really really like to see some music from the old days come back. I mean actual music, not this top 40 crap radio stations theyve been playing the last few seasons. The park music thread with the link of all the old music i think is EXACTLY what needs to come back. In a theme park you're in a sense escaping the outside world and the music adds so much to that. With these hip-hop songs being played in places like Yukon Territory and Orleans Place, it totally takes taht effect away.

i agree on the lockers. im afraid to keep alot of stuff in my pockets during a ride because of the fact that so many people have lost phones etc that way. i think its ridiculous to pay for lockers rather than just putting your stuff in bins. you figure with all the rides you ride and having to pay a dollar each time you ride...it really adds up. i mean you pay to get into the park and everything else but now to have to pay to basically ride individual rides is ridiculous. especially if you dont have have any "non-riders" to hold your stuff. this is the ONLY thing im not looking forward to this year, kinda bums me out, really. :(

Sea World keeps the Shamu half of their park closed till an hour after the park opens, I don't see why this is a horrible thing, at least they are keeping the area open to walk-through instead of making us go all the way around.

I think that you should have to pay $1 for the locker, get your key, and after riding it, get your stuff out, give your key back, and get your dollar back. That way nobody steals anything, you don't have to pay, and if you don't get your stuff, thats your problem.

yea, ok now that sounds more acceptable. but actually paying a dollar for the locker is ridiculous, but no need in repeating myself.

Just change the stuff you bring with you, if you can't spend a few extra bucks for the locker. Bring what you need (cell phone, wallet, car keys) wear cargo shorts, and keep everything with you. Don't bring anything not allowed on rides! If you must bring a camera or stuff that can't fit into your pockets, pay the $1 per ride. Its really not that big of a deal. I for one am glad they are implementing the lockers. Too much has gotten ripped off from the bins the past few years.

yea, easy for you to say if your a guy. i dunno bout you, but i havent seen many decent cargo pants for girls that will hold what i need to hold. you guys have those big ass shorts with all those handy pockets to put all your stuff in, so yea, easy for you to sit there n say just wear cargo shorts and put everything in your pockets.

People are going to be U.G.L.Y about the lockers, especially folks that bring in a few water bottles for hot days. What about someone with their $7 souvenir cup? Your choice is stow the cup or wait 1 1/2 hours in Raging Bulls line on a 90 degree day?

I've never had a problem with the bins...anything worth anything (digital camera, etc...) was either in my pockets or in it's belt pouch.

Are they going to allow fanny packs, or the velcro camera bags that are on your belt?

I guess I'll have to make a new schedule this year. I used to begin every day with a ride on Eagle. I guess 11 A.M. is better than a time that is later than that...

So they are actually going to make you pay to put your stuff in a locker that you have to use? I don't like that idea at all. Maybe if people wanted to put important items in them then let them pay a dollar, but otherwise just let people throw their stuff in those bins.

For now, not every ride is using the locker policy, but I assume that'll change within the next few seasons, but the park isn't "forcing" anyone to use the lockers. You still have the option of leaving it in the car, or with a non-rider. I'm assuming the park will be implementing some sort of "hot weather" policy that will have some cups with water for the hot days.

While it seems like a hassle, I think it's for the better. I mean without loose articles, there shouldn't be as much hold-up in the stations thereby increasing throughput on the rides with the lockers (obviously this isn't taking in the account of guests that don't know what's going on or the ones that try to sneak the children on who are clearly under the height requirement)

^Cups of water should be allowed in the lines. If a park employee or policy is going to prohibit someone from doing this when lines are hours long in the heat of the summer, you better bet I will be all in guest relations' faces until that policy changes!!! It would be a shame if it got out that Six Flags values their dollars over the safety of their guests..... I understand this policy for backpacks, fanny packs, whatever, but including water bottles and/or sandals in this is grounds for pissing me off! As for stuff in pockets, at least for guys, cargo pants with zipper pockets are around 15 bucks at Kohls, just buy a couple of those, they work wonderful!!

I'm also not fond of these new parking prices! It's ridiculously overpriced, i will be strongly encouraging everyone I know to find ways around this one. I look at it as this, if the park is going to start stealing my money like this in the future, the money i spend within the park will decrease! It's as simple as that!! :?

I would assume food and drinks will be allowed in the queue, just not the sport bottles or anything like that unless you're willing to toss it before getting on the ride.

It's so funny that Vertical Velocity, known for the most stuff lost in the waters below, is not going to have the lockers this year. ALL coasters should have them if they are really worried about people losing their stuff.
