Since both of these rides are being removed and are fairly close together, i'm just wondering what Six Flags will make their and what you think should go there. I'm thinking a Eurofighter that goes 90 degrees underground and has a butterfly loop like Deja Vu had, kinda like a tribute to it.
I would love to see bbnp taken out due to its outdatedness and a huge coaster put in that takes up all three spots. Personally I think that would be best, but definatly not in the immediate future. Perhaps a few years down the road.
Remember, there's nothing but air beneath the chair.

That underground section does go under the walkway so that the cobra roll tribute is at the far end of Splashwater Falls.

If they're gonna keep that lake there from SWF, you could end it with a splashdown ala Sheikra at Busch Gardens Tampa.

That and if they were to "reuse" the pond, which they wouldn't, it leaks badly. Talking on the order of thousands of gallons overnight. Starting the 3.5" supply line at 6 AM gets it topped off at about 9AM to replace the water that has seeped into the ground.
Not to mention with such a old design, it was not maintenance friendly. The new single chain models are much much better.
I've learned in my time here that RBF is almost always right.
I've Seen SheiKra and Griffin and I dont know if I want either type of ride at Great America.
They look like 3 trick pony rides (Drop, Immelman, Splashdown) similar to another type of ride at Great America (Pretzel Loop, Helix, In line twist) and I don't think a simple layout is good for a Park like Great America.
Our last Original design coaster was in 1999 with Raging Bull!
A Euro Fighter in my opinion would be better and probably cost about 10 million dollars less and 1.5 Times as long with more elements and inversions.
^NOTHING like Superman! It is such an impressive ride for being so simple, you'd be surprised how awesome an addition like that would be. I guess we'll have to see what the future holds for that section. Maybe we'll get something far fetched, like mini golf or something.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Hmm.. What I would want to see would be a custom wooden or a floorless B&M to complete our circle of B&Ms. Maybe if this is a good year, something will replace Deja and SWF. As of RIGHT now... I do not see anything happening unless the company is on its feet.
