Okay, topics like this come up every year, and I dont want anyone to think or turn this into a bash fright fest 2005 discussion because this year is amazing, so just try to keep this topic positive. I just think that these topics are fun.
So, if you were six flags or jpm productions inc, and you were in control of fright fest, what would you do? This years fright fest is already a great step in the right direction with the addition of area 51 and seven sins cemetary. What themed lands would you add, what characters would you want, what houses, ect.
Would you change the marketing and execution of fright fest (make it more family oriented, change it into a more intense event for the older crowds)?
I will post my ideas later, but right now I have an english paper to type.
I always thought it would be cool to have a corn stalk maze. A confusing, but fun FREE one. A cool place to put it would be in Splashwater Falls, it's dry anyways. Also, they could add some things in the Hurricane Harbor area now, similar to how Necropolis is set up. However, i would definitely want NOTHING changed from this year.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Bring back Brutal Planet! Get rid of the fact that we have to pay to get into the haunted houses. More Scarators. Less crowds on Saturdays! Hear that SF management????? Get rid of the buy one get one free admission ticket.
I like the idea of having Hurrican Harbor themed for Fright Fest, that would totally awesome, I like Trailblazer Tony's idea. That would be a lot of fun.

*Fallen Giant Would return in Hurricane Harbor*
**A giant Corn maze called "Field of Screams" would span from the side of superstition onto the go kart track.**
I would get rid of coupon deals and wouldnt allow people in with there season pass(i might create a gold higher priced season pass that would allow one ff admission.)
But as part of the admission price all haunted houses/mazes would be part of the admission with NO upcharge attractions. I would add more haunted houses /mazes and increase the hours till later in the evening/earlier in the am. Make it a special attraction like Knotts/Universal etc than just another hoe hom SF deal like it is now.

Hurricane Harbor/Jungle of Fear
Entering the Jungle of fear, guests are entertained by a group of Rodeo Clowns in the southwest portions. But as you move futher along the entrance path, things begin to untie. Prisoners are loose from the harbor prison, and you get the sense of two rival gangs. High Profile Characters include Warden Snyder, Warren Black, the leader of the prisoners, And The leader of the Slayer gang. As you enter the Main area of Hurricane Harbor, the prison looms inside hurricane Hanks. The Prison haunted House is a Free walk through, as you find yourself inside a prison with no locks, no doors, just a corrupt warden and a gigantic gang war. As you exit the Haunted House guest are given a choice of two paths. One leading over the wave pool where Fallen Giant is situated. The other choice, (Which one would have to go to after Falen giant anyway) takes guests into the lazy river, where we switch from a prison motif to the other side of the island. Slave characters and zombies abound as guests exit out the lazy river from the blue tube entrance, bringing them to the entrance of Haunted House # 3 in HH “The Most Dangerous Game” The line is set up where tube rentals are, and small stage is set up for the story to unfold to guests. Based on the Short story “The Most Dangerous Game” guests are told of a rich man who enjoys hunting humans, and you’re his next victims. Venture through his run down island mansion and then out into the open island where everyone is out for murder! Guests are ushered out of the haunted maze by the butler and turn back to the prison area where they are directed by fences, corn stalks, and hay bales to the exit side of the HH path, which is also home to the various prison characters.

Binks, I would so come to your Fright Fest that sounds totally awesome, I like the whole prison ordeal in HH, that would be so cool. I'm sure a lot of people would attend to it, I know I would.
I like that idea, turn Hurricane Harbor ino Islands of the Dead that's a good idea, or make it into another haunted trail but with dead pirates, and other stuff that have to do with the islands, I think that would be a good a go idea.
That would never work. It's dangerous to be around drained pools. It's also dangerous to be running around filled pools. If the water was still in them, then you would need lifeguards. And this would obviously be at night, so it would be hard to see. There are no lights in Hurricane Harbor and if the idea is for it to be scary, bringing in portable lights would only make it less scary. I don't want to be running around next to a pool that I can't see.
Wow. Don't you think that if meaintenance could fix it, they would? Do you honestly think that the reason that Deja Vu still isn't open is because there isn't enough maintenance?

In the plan in my head for "Jungle of Fear" The guests would be ushed along the exit path (It's smaller and better for trafficking) into the main plaza area. on the right is Prison Break area, you go over the bridge, and most will turn right, the family slides area is blocked off by fencing, hay bales, corn stalks etc... And the line for Fallen Giant begins right there at the turn, so no worry about the wave pool. the regular walk thorugh continues down to the tornado area, which obvisouly isn't built yet, but even if it was it could be blocked off, then guests are ushered into the lazy river. More trafficking, and lots of monster-y action. They exit out the blue tube entrance, back into the main plaza. Guests are only permitted to walk one direction in the lazy river area, becuase it is so small, they must exit at blue tube, and enter at yellow tube. They then come upon "The Most Dangerous Game" and then exit out the entrance side, because as they leave, trafficking no longer matters. No actual pool encounters.
