2 questions

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Coasterdude22 on June 30th, 2005, 10:09 am
1st I just got this name today and I didnt see anything about a cost, its free isnt it?

2nd- This is probably a really stupid question but when I was on the Demon about 30 seconds before it was going to start my harness went up, but no ones else did. What are the chances of that happening when the ride is already going.
Thanks

1. Website is free, enjoy.

2. Umm, maybe the ride op opened your rows harnesses manually and you didn't notice? Demon's restraints shouldn't be opening on their own.

Luckily they didn't open up 30 seconds into the ride :)

I just read about some lady falling off a rollercoaster because her harness came loose, is there a chance that could happen at SFGA?

don't be nervous, the way the rides are designed it is pretty much impossible for the restraints to fail. I could go into detail but it's not worth it....never be worried on coasters, just have fun 8)

Who agrees with me that there is no way you'll fall off a coaster at SFGA
I mean roller coasters are cool, but they aren't my whole life.

Well there are ways to fall off if you don't abide by the rules or are exceptionally big. Or I guess you could fall off in an Inty restraint

As the studies show, you are more likely to get injured on the way to the theme park.

Its possible to fall off any rollercoaster anywhere. Never say never, SFgam has just been blessed with no major incidents.

There is a better chance that you will get injured using a toothpick than being injured on a roller coaster or thrill ride.

And thats the truth.

I think they are talking about the Intamin hyper coaster restraints...

The only Intamins we have @ SFGAM are V2 and AE.

my mom always said, they wouldnt make these rides if they would hurt you...

plus if you notice, on most the rides except for superman, Vu, and V2 you dont even touch the restraint because of the force...its pretty cool...

Less than that of injuring yourself with a toothpick, and 98% less than getting injured on your way to the park.

or falling through a manhole, or getting injured with folding lawn chairs, or choking on ball point pens, or dying taking a warm shower.
